This delicious prix fixe meal will be centered around the spirit of Mexico, featuring dishes such as Marucha Sin Hueso, a flat iron steak grilled to perfection served with a Peruvian potato cake and spicy chimichurri sauce. The dish, along with each other course, is matched with a custom crafted Tequila-based beverage. In this case Tequila con Agua de Jamaica, a next level edition of the classic Mexican refreshment with Patron Anejo, sweet Jamaica hibiscus tea, and a sweet tajín rim. Portage Park’s boutique steakhouse Community Tavern is celebrating National Tequila Day with a handcrafted cocktail called “Passion Me By”. Made in collaboration with Jacyara de Oliveira of The Sportsman's Club, this exclusive creation combines a perfectly refreshing blend of Tequila Ocho, Mandarine Napoleon Liqueur, passion fruit, tangy lime, freshly brewed green tea, and angostura bitters.

The West Loop’s whiskey and BBQ hot spot is putting a spin on National Tequila Day. Porkchop has managed to get their hands on two Bourbon Barrel Aged Tequilas (only 5,000 were available)! Because of their smokey aged flavor from the bourbon barrels, these tequilas will pair perfectly with Porkchop’s famous BBQ. The Corazon Reposado Buffalo Trace is $12 and the Anejo Sazerac Rye is $16. Porkchop’s Bartender Sara McDaniel recommends that these tequilas are to be enjoyed neat, but cocktail options are also available.
