Easter American Northbrook

The full picture: Prairie Grass Cafe Invites Families to Celebrate Easter

For more than two decades, Easter at Prairie Grass Cafe (601 Skokie Blvd, Northbrook, 847-205-4433 | prairiegrasscafe.com @prairiegrasscafe) has meant something more than a meal. It has meant a table set with intention, ingredients sourced with care, and a warm welcome that turns first-time visitors into regulars. On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, co-chefs and co-owners Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris once again open their doors for what has become one of the North Shore's most anticipated holiday traditions.

Easter at Prairie Grass Cafe reflects the full breadth of what Chefs Stegner and Bumbaris can do. Together, they bring the same disciplined artistry that defined their years at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago to a buffet experience that is both ambitious in execution and deeply welcoming in spirit — a combination that is distinctly Prairie Grass.

Easter Buffet Brunch

The Easter Buffet Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with seating timed to ensure every guest settles in at their leisure. Priced at $79 per adult and $39 for children 10 and under (beverages, tax, and gratuity not included), the spread is a testament to what Stegner and Bumbaris have always believed: that a great meal should feel both celebratory and grounded.

Each guest begins with the restaurant's Signature Benedict — Poached Egg, Spinach, Roasted Tomato Hollandaise — before moving into a buffet that reflects the kitchen's characteristic range: from the elegant to the comforting, from farm-sourced meats to made-to-order stations that bring a touch of theater to the table.
