Prairie Grass Cafe to Host Easter Brunch and Offer Takeout Menu

Prairie Grass Cafe will host its annual Easter brunch service on April 5, 2026, and offer a takeout dinner menu for pickup the same day. The restaurant, located at 601 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook, is led by co-chefs and co-owners Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris.

The Easter brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in a buffet format. Each guest will receive a plated starter of poached egg with spinach and roasted tomato hollandaise before accessing the buffet. Menu items will include deviled eggs, shaved Brussels sprout Caesar salad, Greek salad, warm feta, grilled asparagus, crispy Brussels sprouts, braised lamb lasagna, made-to-order cod, an omelet station, potatoes, bacon, sausage, glazed ham, chicken pot pie, bean ragu, breads, pastries, and desserts such as lemon cake, carrot cake, cherry cobbler, and fruit.

For at-home dining, the restaurant will offer an Easter takeout menu available for pre-order through April 2, with pickup scheduled for April 5 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Items will include sliced glazed ham with sweet potatoes and asparagus, mushroom soup, deviled eggs, strawberry cream pie, and carrot cake.
