Prairie Grass Cafe (601 Skokie Blvd., Northbrook) is hosting a pre-holiday Wine Tasting and Short Rib Dinner on Sunday, December 3.
On December 3, Prairie Grass Cafe's Chefs, Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris, will craft a dining experience featuring a Slow-Braised BBQ Short Ribs dish, accompanied by Yukon Golden Potato Puree and Parmesan Crusted Roasted Carrots. To complement this meal, they’ve curated a flight of three wines, handpicked by their sommelier, Pierre Lasserre who recently joined the teams after years at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago. 3oz pours of Pio Cesare Barbera d’Alba, Italy ’20, Crozes Hermitage, Syrah Blend, E. Guigal, France ’19, and of Clos Du Val, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ’21 will be provided.
Additionally, pre-ordering is now available for Prairie Grass Cafe’s Christmas Eve Dinner Package for two, available for pickup between 3 and 5pm Saturday, December 23. The package will be pre-cooked but cold, ready to be reheated on the 23rd or 24th.
Prairie Grass Cafe has also introduced a holiday treat package. This package includes Chef Sarah's Mom's holiday cookie recipes, a signature chocolate praline bar from Chicago Artizen by Chef Aaron Lindgren, and more. The holiday treat package will be available for pickup beginning December 15.
