Petite Edith, the Midwestern-inspired French brasserie, from Chef Jenner Tomaska of Esmé, that opened this fall in Chicago, will now be serving weekend brunch from 10:30am to 3:30pm each Saturday and Sunday, which will be accompanied by live jazz on Sunday’s from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
From Chicago native Chef Tomaska and his wife and business partner Katrina Bravo, Petite Edith’s brunch menu offers elevated brunch favorites, blending French techniques with a Midwestern sensibility and highlighting seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Brunch highlights include:
Cocktail specials such as a Bloody Mary garnished with a mussel skewer; Verveine Reviver #1 with gin, Verveine du Velay, cap corse, lemon and absinthe; and Snake Bites Ain't Bad with g4 Tequila, quina, and Aval Cider
Fruits de Mer including East and West Coast Oysters; Caviar served on a confit potato fritter with espellete; and Escargot Croquette with cheeses and herb aioli
Avant Le Plat such as Leek Tart filled with almonds and roasted garlic purée, and topped with cottage cheese and honey; and Clafoutis with roasted squash and black cardamom
Les Plats such as Ham and Cheese Mille Feuille with egg and sauce moutarde; Cassoulet Poutine with confit duck leg, french fries, cannellini beans and cheese; Foie French Toast with brioche, foie torchon and maple syrup; and Lobster and Mushroom Crepes made with seasonal mushrooms and lobster sauce
