Context and background: Fat Rosie’s Día de los Muertos Celebrations Begin October 27th
Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrated on November 2. This year, you can celebrate this ancient tradition at all four Fat Rosie’s locations within Chicagoland featuring exclusive margaritas, October food specials and traditional Mexican entertainment - face painting, sugar skulls, music and more.
Celebrate with an exclusive Blood Orange Margarita, made with Fat Rosie’s blood orange ingredients, Gran Centenario Reposado and topped with Freshie, plus many October food specials at each location.
Master sugar skull maker, Miguel Quintana, will be bringing his skills to Chicago from San Francisco to create skulls for Fat Rosie’s customers to celebrate Día de los Muertos. He will be at the following locations throughout the weekend:
Thursday October 27th - Frankfort 5 p.m.-8 p.m. (28 Kansas St, Frankfort, IL 60423)
Friday October 28th -Schaumburg 5 p.m.-8 p.m. (870 N Meacham Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60173)
Saturday October 29th - Naperville 5 p.m.-8 p.m. (47 E Chicago Ave, Naperville, IL 60540)
Sunday October 30th - Lincolnshire 5 p.m.-8 p.m. (940 Milwaukee Ave, Lincolnshire, IL 60069)
All Fat Rosie’s locations will have face painters, providing customers with traditional skull Dia de los Muertos makeup at each location from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th.
