Easy Bar Hosts Winter Coat Drive

Easy Bar in Wicker Park has partnered with Half Acre Beer Company to host a winter coat drive beginning Tuesday, October 15. Accepted donations will include new or gently used coats, sweaters, hats, gloves or scarves. Donations will be accepted at the bar anytime between Tuesday, October 15 and Sunday, November 17 and the coat drive will benefit La Casa Norte. La Casa Norte's mission is to serve youth and families confronting homelessness by providing access to stable housing and deliver comprehensive services that act as a catalyst to transform lives and communities.

Throughout the duration of the fundraiser a portion of proceeds from select Half Acre beers sold will benefit La Casa Norte. Beers include Original Reaper Milk Stout, Burl Double India Pale Ale and Pony Pilsner.

Additionally—as a kickoff to the fundraiser—on Tuesday, October 15 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Easy Bar will give all customers that donate a winter clothing item a free pint of Half Acre beer (one per person) along with a raffle ticket for Half Acre merchandise.
