On Tuesday, May 5, guests can enjoy $5 Breakfast and regular Burritos, Bowls and $3 Margaritas all day long at all Chicagoland GYG locations. 

Vela

Secure your reservations through Vela's website for a night of food, drinks and celebrations including, $25 El Tesoro Flights – Blanco, Reosado, Anejo 80; $18 Tacos Campechanos – Kofta Verde, Al Pastor, Longaniza, Cilantro / Cebolla, Salsa Blanca; $40 Margarita Pitcher; and $12 Margaritas. There will also be a Live DJ 5pm-9pm.

Solana

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Solana’s official kickoff party! Wicker Park’s only public rooftop pool bar atop The Robey will be serving skyline views, frozen tropical cocktails, and street-style tacos as the party heats up poolside. Enjoy live mariachi, an Aperol tasting at 4PM, and an Espolòn tasting at 6PM—then keep it going with $5 everything after 5PM. 

Valedor

Valedor will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration with live music and activations throughout the night. The evening will feature a Taco Tuesday special with $10 margaritas and $6 duck mole tacos. The Valedor big screen will display themed visuals throughout the evening, including the signature dancing cat wearing a sombrero. To complete the experience, a live mariachi trio will perform during the event.

Manchamanteles

This Cinco de Mayo, Manchamanteles invites guests to celebrate with a special one-day dining experience on Tuesday, May 5. The restaurant will open its doors for both lunch and dinner (despite being typically closed on Tuesdays) for the occasion. In addition to the regular menu, guests can enjoy a festive Cinco de Mayo Taco Tasting Menu, created especially for the holiday. The full menu will also remain available for those who prefer to order à la carte. Reservations can be made in advance on Tock, and booking ahead is highly recommended to secure your spot.

Cruz Blanca

The spotlight is on their wood-fired Tacos al Carbón – offering Grilled Ribeye (red chile-garlic marinade), Grilled Chicken (garlic marinade), Mushroom + Charred Chile (garlic-roasted portobella and blistered chile), or the Cruz Asado Feast (carne asada, grilled chicken, and mushrooms with charred chile). All are served with warm tortillas, house salsas, caramelized onions, poblano rajas, and one side(makes 3-4 tacos). Round it out with a lineup of margaritas, from the signature Cruz to a Pink Cadillac or smoky Mezcal, available by the glass and with pitchers for the table. 

Fat Rosie's Taco & Tequila Bar

Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar is hosting a month-long fiesta for Cinco de Mayo featuring margarita and beer specials. The celebrations kick off on May 5 with live mariachi performances, face painting, festive giveaways and a special Cinco de Drinko shot.

Guests can turn up at Fat Rosie’s locations across the Chicagoland suburbs with surprise moments, festive décor and giveaways throughout the day, including items like T-shirts, hats and shot glasses provided by brand partners, available while supplies last. In addition, guests can enter to win one of three $100 Fat Rosie’s gift cards through a newsletter raffle, encouraging guests to join in on the celebration beyond the restaurant.

Throughout the month, the concept will also offer a lineup of limited-time drink specials, including the Mint Watermelon Margarita and Skinny Mexicana Margarita, alongside Modelo and Pacifico features. All promotions will be available for dine-in guests only.

Amerikas

On Tuesday, May 5th, enjoy Chef Armando Gonzalez’s tacos, enchiladas, and carne asada, along with half-priced margaritas, and Micheladas Cervezas. Specials will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Barrio

On Tuesday, May 5, they’ll open early at 4:00 PM and feature their $5 Taco Tuesday special with a la carte tacos. Guests can also enjoy shareable favorites like Taco Towers and Margarita Towers, along with the debut of new “Grande Margaritas”. 

LondonHouse Chicago

LondonHouse Chicago is partnering with eco-conscious brand B-Cycled Bottles on a limited-time collaboration. Guests not only enjoy the cocktails, but also take the repurposed glassware home—bringing sustainability full circle. Available now through May 5 - Cinco de Mayo. 

• Mi Cielo Margarita ($50): Clase Azul Reposado tequila, fresh-pressed cantaloupe juice, Mallorca melon tea syrup, cherry vanilla bitters, watermelon powder rim — served in a repurposed Clase Azul glass (yours to keep)
• Purple Rain Sangria ($20) – NEW: Ketel One Peach Orange Blossom vodka, Riesling, pear, lemon, butterfly pea flower, orchid garnish — served in an upcycled Ketel One bottle glass (also yours to take home)

Kings

Kings is celebrating back-to-back holidays with four days of themed drink specials and drawings. From May 2 – 5, guests can enjoy:

Tacombi

This Cinco de Mayo, Tacombi is marking the occasion with more than just tacos and margaritas. On May 5, the taqueria will reopen its Wicker Park location following a temporary closure to complete structural renovations and will donate 100% of proceeds for the day to the Tacombi Foundation, supporting the development of a new learning center in rural Jalisco, Mexico. Guests dining at Tacombi on May 5 can participate simply by ordering their favorite tacos, quesadillas, and margaritas, knowing their visit helps fund educational opportunities for communities in Mexico. 

The Wicker Park location will be welcoming guests for dine-in and takeout starting Cinco de Mayo, 11AM-11PM. Guests can also visit Tacombi’s Fulton Market location at 126 N Peoria St, open daily from 11AM–11PM.

aliveOne

Chicagoans are invited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a celebration at aliveOne. On Tuesday, May 5, guests can enjoy $8 El Jimador Margaritas and $8 Rey Supremo shots. The party starts early with half-price happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by FREE Music Bingo from Whaddyaknow! beginning at 8 p.m.

Central Park Bar

Chicagoans who visit Central Park Bar on Cinco de Mayo will enjoy specials like $10 Lalo Margaritas, $7 Cruz Blanca Lime + Sea Salt Chelada, $10.50 Spiked Chelada Combos (Cruz Blanca Lime + Sea Salt Chelada with El Jimador Blanco Tequila), $13 Frozen Spicy Mango Margaritas, $27.50 Modelo buckets, and a $9.50 Modelo and El Jimador shot + beer combo.

Weather permitting, the celebration will extend to Central Park Bar’s 3,500-square-foot Backyard Bar, a dog-friendly oasis featuring a covered outdoor bar, bumper pool table, picnic tables, porch swings, and a cozy fire pit. The patio welcomes dogs until 8 p.m.

Cody’s Public House

Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview is kicking off Cinco de Mayo celebrations early with an all-day fiesta featuring a tequila fest, live mariachi music, a taco truck, and festive drink specials on Sunday, May 3. The celebration begins at 2 p.m. with a tequila sampling experience showcasing a wide range of premium brands, including Maestro Dobel, Don Julio, Don Fulano, Camarena, 1800, Grand Centenario, Lalo, Teremana, Patrón, and Milagro. Guests can enjoy shots of each tequila for $6.

All day long, attendees can take advantage of drink specials such as $5 draft margaritas, $5 Modelo pints, $6 Mamitas, and $25 Corona family buckets. At 4 p.m., the festivities continue with a live performance from the Corona Mariachi Band, alongside eats from the Los Candiles Taco Truck. Guests will enjoy Corona and Mamitas samplings plus giveaways throughout the day.

On Tuesday, May 5, Cody's will continue the festivities with a FREE catered Walking Taco Bar at 6:30 p.m. $5 draft Margaritas will be available all day plus $6 tequila including Maestro Dobel, Don Julio, Don Fulano, Camarena, 1800, Grand Centenario, Lalo, Teremana, Patron, and Milagro.

Easy Bar

Easy Bar invites Chicagoans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo a happy hour and laid-back patio vibes in the heart of Wicker Park. Guests will enjoy $4 Corona, $4 Modelo, $4 Pacifico and $6 Dos Hombres Mezcal shots, alongside half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The celebration continues all evening with additional specials, including $4 Beers, Hard Seltzers and Ciders and $5.50 Domestic bottles and cans. Weather permitting, visitors are encouraged to take advantage of Easy Bar’s dog-friendly sidewalk patio. Located at the corner of Division and Damen, the patio offers seating for 15 to 20 guests.

Estelle's

Estelle’s invites Chicagoans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with $10 Margaritas plus a festive half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Additional themed specials include an $8 Chef’s Special featuring cheese or chicken quesadillas (two per order). Drink specials available all evening will include $6 Seltzers and $6 Tito’s cocktails.

Remedy

Chicagoans can celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Remedy in Bucktown with a $10 Rey Supremo “Meowgarita” and $7 Rey Supremo shot specials available all evening. Remedy will run a "Cinco De Meow" contest on Instagram where patrons can tag Remedy (@remedy_chicago) in their favorite cat pictures leading up to May 5 for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

The Getaway

The Getaway invites Chicagoans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a twist, combining margarita specials, happy hour deals, and an interactive game night experience. Guests can half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. plus a $10 Margarita special available all evening. From 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., “Games on Taproom” takes over, featuring a curated mix of mini-games, social board games, and prizes.

The Graystone Tavern

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, The Graystone Tavern in Wrigleyville will serve up a menu of festive Taco Bell-inspired specials like a $5 Boozy Baha Blast, $3 Tacos, $6 Nacho Fries, and $8 Mexican Pizzas. Additional specials will include $5 Teremana shots, $5 Teremana Margaritas and $5 Modelo drafts.

The Owl

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo Chicagoans can head to The Owl in Logan Square and sip on $6 House Margaritas all evening. Guests can kick off the holiday with a half-price happy hour from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or end the evening by hitting the dance floor and experiencing one of The Owl’s late-night parties until 4 a.m.

Tune-Up

Tune-Up in Avondale invites Chicagoans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a festive fiesta featuring a $10 Michelada special plus their signature half-price happy hour. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy half-off drinks. Additional specials available all evening will include $10 Beer & Shot Combos featuring a choice of High Life, Modelo, or PBR paired with Evan Williams, Malört, or El Jimador.

Mercadito River North

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo early by visiting Mercadito for bottomless brunch on Saturday and Sunday, featuring unlimited cocktails for only $35 per person. Beverage options include endless margaritas, mimosas, amiga sandias, bloody Marys, and tecates. Guests can enjoy dishes alongside cocktails like Mercadito's Tres Leches French Toast, Carnitas Hash, Enchiladas or their Chilaquiles made with crispy tortillas, salsa roja, black beans, onions, queso, a sunny side up egg and crema fresca. 

Raised, An Urban Rooftop Bar

This year, Raised is leaning into two featured holiday cocktails:

• “Choose Your Own Adventure” Margarita: For those who want a personalized touch, this starts with a classic margarita base and allows guests to customize their drink with a variety of fruit and herbal flavor additions.
• Oaxacan Old Fashioned: A smoky, elevated riff on a classic, featuring Tequila, Mole bitters, Demerara syrup, and a signature spritz of mezcal.

Pinstripes (Oakbrook & Northbrook)

Cinco de Mayo technically falls on a Tuesday this year, but Pinstripes is getting the party started early with a specialty weekend brunch. Offered Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can enjoy Pinstripes signature brunch buffet with a few festive additions:

• Chilaquiles Omelet Station (featuring house salsa verde, tortilla chips, pesto chicken, sour cream, cheddar and mozzarella, and guests’ choice of condiments)
• Mini Churros (tossed in toasted cinnamon sugar and topped with powdered sugar with chocolate and caramel sauce)
• Mexican Pizza (featuring guaca verde salsa, mozzarella, shaved prime rib, jalapenos, red onion, cilantro and sour cream)

In addition to the brunch features, Pinstripes will also have a lineup of new May Margaritas in collaboration with Matthew McConaughey’s Pantalones Tequila, including:

• The Garden Glow: Featuring Pantalones Blanco Tequila and flavors of fresh mint and cucumber.
• The Spring Fling: Featuring Pantalones Blanco Tequila, with lychee and coconut.
• The Desert Bloom: Featuring Pantalones Blanco Tequila, the Desert Bloom brings Texas to the Windy City with Pinstripes’ take on the classic prickly pear margarita.

The Cinco de Mayo Brunch will feature a DJ both days from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Pricing starts at $35 for adults, $16 for kids 6-12 and kids 5 and under are free.

Robert's Pizza Dough & Co. 

The pizzeria will be celebrating on Saturday, May 2nd, with all-day specials and a live Mariachi band! Grab a seat on the expansive riverside patio (it's dog-friendly!) or head inside while grabbing your favorite pies or something new to try. A Mariachi band will be performing from 1pm - 3pm on Saturday, 5/2, and specials (available May 1-5) include:

• $33 Margarita Flight: spicy mango, cucumber, and strawberry
• Chicken Tinga Pizza: chicken in adobo sauce with onions, fresh mozzarella, and Monterey Jack topped with radish, chopped onion, queso fresco, salsa verde, sour cream, and cilantro
• Cochinita Pibil Pizza: achiote oil, habanero salsa, fresh mozzarella, pulled pork, shredded cheese, queso fresco, pickled red onion, and cilantro
• Shrimp Ceviche: mango, cucumber, red bell pepper, tomato, red onion, jicama, jalapeno, serrano, lime juice, and tortilla chips
• Flan: egg custard with caramel, whipped cream, and almond cookie
• Guac or Pico de Gallo & Tortilla Chips

City Works Eatery and Pour House 

City Works is launching limited time offerings on April 22, just in time for Cinco de Mayo including a Lavendar Margarita, Spicy Watermelon Paloma, Pastor Pork Tenderloin and Funfetti Funnel Cake. Guests can enjoy these items until June 16.
