aliveOne

On Sunday, May 5, aliveOne will offer a $8 Spicy Margarita and $5 Pacifico special. Half-price happy hour will also be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m and guests can play free pool all evening. 

Central Park Bar

Central Park Bar will offer festive specials like $6 Cruz Blanca Cheladas (Lime + Sea Salt) on draft. Cruz Blanca be on-site with swag and photo opps will also be available. Weather permitting, patrons can use the 3,500 square foot, dog-friendly Backyard Bar complete with a covered outdoor bar, bumper pool table, picnic tables, porch swings and fire pit. The patio is dog-friendly until 8 p.m.

Cody's Public House

Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview will host a fiesta complete with a taco truck and drink specials on Sunday, May 5 beginning at 11 a.m.. The Los Candiles Taco Truck will be at Cody’s at 2 p.m. along with a tequila sampling at 2 p.m. featuring Dobel, Don Julio, Camarena, 1800, Grand Centenario, Casamigos, Teremana, and Milagro. Shots of each tequila will be available for $6 each. $4 draft margaritas will be available all day along with $5 Modelo pints, $25 Corona family buckets, and $30 High Noon Tequila buckets. The party will also feature a Modelo sampling and giveaways.

Easy Bar

Easy Bar will offer a $5 Tequila Mi Campo shot special and half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Additional specials available all evening include $3 Miller High Life and $5 Evan Williams shots. Weather permitting, guests can take their drinks al fresco on Easy Bar’s patio. Located at the corner of Division and Damen in Wicker Park, the dog-friendly sidewalk patio features seating for 15 to 20 guests. 

Estelle's

Estelle’s in Wicker Park will offer a $10 Margarita special on Sunday, May 5 from 4 p.m. to close. Guests who arrive early can also take advantage of Estelle’s half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. along with Sunday specials available all evening like a $12 Patty Melt and fries, $5 Miller High Life and an $8 Miller High Life plus a Four Roses shot combo.

Remedy

Remedy in Bucktown will offer a $10 Don Julio Margarita special available all evening. Remedy is also running a "Cinco De Meow" contest on Instagram where patrons can tag Remedy (@remedy_chicago) leading up to May 5. The winners of the five coolest cats will win a $100 gift card. A themed cocktail, the Purrfect Sip (Don Julio Rosad, lime, cucumber syrup) will also be available for $15 each.

The Rambler Kitchen + Tap

The Rambler Kitchen + Tap in North Center will offer festive food and drink specials all day. Drink specials will include $4 Margaritas all day with flavors including lime, spicy, and strawberry, $5 Modelo drafts, $6 Dobel shots, and $25 Corona family buckets. Rambler will also feature food items like $2 hard shell ground beef tacos and $8 ground beef or chicken nachos.

Carnivale

On Sunday, May 5th from 2pm-9:30pm live singing, dancing, food specials, and margaritas will be offered. Performances will be available at  2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. Reservations can be made on Tock.

Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook

From the weekend of Friday, May 3rd – Sunday, May 5th from 3-10pm. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. Dining specials include:

  • Jalapeno Poppers with bacon, cheddar cheese, cream cheese in a jalapeno pepper with garlic aioli 

  • Queso Fundido made with chorizo, fire-roasted poblano, pico de gallo, chihuahua-oxaca cheese and corn tortillas

Guzman y Gomez

Guzman y Gomez, with four suburban locations in Naperville, Schaumburg, Crystal Lake and Buffalo Grove, celebrates Cinco de Mayo. On Sunday, May 5, Guzman y Gomez will offer patrons $3 frozen margaritas and coronas with the purchase of food, including their menu of tacos, burritos, bowls, nachos, salads, enchiladas and quesadillas. All menu items will be available throughout the day for dine in, drive thru, and take out. Diners will also have the opportunity to try their new strawberry margarita that will debut on this day. Weather permitting, patrons can dine outside on the patio.

Broken English Taco Pub

Stefani Restaurant Group will host 5 days of Cinco week at Broken English Taco Pub this year for Cinco de Mayo. On Saturday and Sunday, Broken English will be hosting Carnival at both of its locations as well.

Mercadito

On Sunday, May 5th, Mercadito will open early at 10:30am and close late at 1am to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The crew will host a Patrón cart outside of the restaurant to serve esquite cups (corn off the cob, house made lime mayo, queso fresco, tajín) and Patrón Silver Margarita Snow Cones (Classic or Amiga Sandia) from 2p until 11:45p. Inside there will be a DJ from 7pm-11:30p and Patrón Reposado Spicy Margaritas will also be available in the restaurant.

This Cinco de Mayo, Celeste joins forces with DJ Twan and Trifecta Records on Sunday, May 5, from noon to 8 p.m. 

Beats spun by DJ Twan, BRKN, Mars, Cedeno Jezu B2B Gabe GLVZ, Rika B. Adorio, Frank Bono, Witz Hector, Erik Chike, Nali Antrobus, Wes, Ben and more.

A build-your-own taco bar from noon to 2 p.m., included with ticket purchase. With $6 Modelos and $12 tequila/mezcal cocktails throughout the event. Plus, special tequila bottle service will be available.

Mi Campo Tequila Takeover at Bar Takito and A Bite of Mexico Restaurant & Tequila Bar

This year, Mi Campo Tequila is offering events to celebrate the day. Specialty tequila cocktails at Takito’s Cinco Brunch Party (5/5) will be available from 11am to 3pm. Brunch dishes and special Mi Campo cocktails will be served throughout the early morning and afternoon hours. Mi Campo will also have tequila tastings at A Bite of Mexico (5/5) from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. For those that are tequila aficionados or want to learn more about tequila.

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Fora is offering a $15 margarita flight. 

Selva

On Cuatro de Mayo, Selva is celebrating with a  $15 margarita flight; each flight enters patrons for a chance to win a bottle of 1942.

Tacombi

On Cinco De Mayo, all proceeds from sales will support Tacombi's foundation for the fourth year. Tacombi aims to produce 120,000 meals this year, moving closer to their 2024 goal of 400,000 meals. Guests can support Tacombi by ordering dishes such as Tacos al Pastor, Baja Crispy Fish Tacos, Burritos, and Beef Birria Tacos or by having Mexican cocktails like the Margarita, Spicy Margarita, Paloma, and Spiked Sandia.

Leña Brava and Cruz Blanca

On Saturday May 4th, Cruz Blanca will host an all day event with DJs while offering tubs of cerveza and tacos.

Then, on Sunday May 5th, Leña Brava offers exclusive day time hours starting at 11:30am and running till 10pm. Cabana Club

This Cinco de Mayo, The Robey Chicago plans to unveil its fully renovated and rebranded rooftop Cabana Club, kicking off with its inaugural celebration, Cinco de Aperol. Arrive between 11am to 3pm to sample drinks from the Aperol Spritz cart and purchase a $30 day pass, complete with photo opportunities, Aperol branded towels, and more. Take in the cityscape from their poolside, where you can hear the beats of local DJs and take a dip in the pool. 

Valedor

Pulling from its roots as a Mexican-owned bar, Valedor is celebrating Cinco De Mayo with $5 margs, $3 modelos and $2 tamales. Served via cart, the tamales will be made by tamale chef, Yuri, a member of The Robey hotel’s housekeeping team who serves the dish to others on her crew regularly. (This will be her debut at sister concept Valedor, and ALL tamale sales will go directly to her!) The special is running from 5PM onward and guests can keep the party going with any other items from Valedor’s Mexican-Japanese inspired menu.

For Cinco de Mayo, FONDA is offering a 4-course dinner experience in partnership with Codigo 1530. On Sunday, May 5th beginning at 6 p.m., the dinner will showcase Codigo 1530 pairings with each course created by Chef Miguel Escobar and team. Tickets are now available on OpenTable for $69 per person (++).

LondonHouse Chicago

This year, LondonHouse Chicago is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a special collaboration with B-Cycled Bottles, a Chicago-based small business founded by Brandon Eckenrode. In honor of this occasion, LondonHouse is unveiling a tequila cocktail, "Mi Cielo," served in an upcycled Clase Azul glass to showcase the tequilas. Priced at $50 (including the keepsake glass), “Mi Cielo” blends premium Clase Azul Reposado Tequila with fresh cantaloupe juice, house-made Mallorca melon tea syrup, and cherry vanilla bitters. The watermelon powder rim adds a sweet, tart touch to the drink. The cocktail will be available through Cinco de Mayo, May 5, or until supplies last. Reservations can be made on their website. 

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila with locations in River North and West Loop celebrates Cinco de Mayo and the 1-year anniversary of the West Loop location all weekend long. Presented by Tres Generaciones Tequila & El Tequileño, the event will feature drink specials including house and frozen margaritas, sets by favorite local DJs, entertainment, giveaways, decor, and more. Reservations for both locations can be made on their website. 

Old Town Pour House

Cinco de Mayo at Old Town Pour House on Wells with a Cinco de Mayo Brunch Fiesta on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For $30 per person, guests can choose from two drinks and a breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet features items such as Chilaquiles, Breakfast Tacos, and a Salsa Bar. Drink specials include a variety of margaritas, such as the Skinny Margarita, Golden Honey Margarita, Spicy Margarita, Mezcal Margarita, and Strawberry Basil Margarita. Barrio

Barrio will host their Cinco de Mayo weekend celebration with its Bottomless Brunch. Served every Saturday & Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can select housemade brunch entrees like the Churro Breakfast Sandwich and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The brunch is complemented by bottomless brunch cocktails, including Blood Orange Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Bloody Marias, all available for $35 per person Both indoor and outdoor patio reservations are available.

On Cinco de Mayo, Oak Park’s Amerikas will be featuring $10 Margaritas and Micheladas all day! The restaurant also just recently opened their patio, a spot for toasting with drinks come Sunday.

Blazed Bakery

Recently opened in Logan Square, Blazed Bakery is a cannabis edible and lifestyle brand that has a mission to provide the best quality and experience through local community engagement and investment. For Cinco de Mayo, the store will be featuring specialty drinks that include a Mango Chamoy Lemonade, a Maza Pan Latte and Churro Cupcake. Blazed Bakery’s original location, in Northbrook, will also be offering specials on May 5! Guests can enjoy Infused Tacos, chicken or steak, Infused Chips and Guacamole, and a specialty Horchata drink. Blazed Bakery allows you to infuse food based on your tolerance level. Cesar’s Killer Margaritas

The Lakeview family-owned restaurant gears up for May 5th with Cesar’s de Mayo week-long party. And new to the menu - Cesar’s recently launched Mezcalitas, each made with Dos Hombres Mezcal, and garnished with handcrafted dehydrated hibiscus and guajillo pepper salt. The Spicy Pina includes fresh pineapple juice, blue agave syrup, and fresh jalapeno slices, while the Tamarindo Mezcalita is made with Cesar's signature Tamarindo puree and blue agave syrup.

Adobo Grill

Old Town’s Adobo Grill will be celebrating with a specialty Cinco de Mayo menu. Select from appetizers like Cazuela de Queso, an Earthenware casserole of cheese, poblano rajas, and tomatillo sauce, or Huarache Norteno, corn masa “sandal” stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and guacasalsa. Mains include fire-roasted Chile en Nogada stuffed with savory pork-veal, pine nuts, fruit, white rice, and walnut cream sauce, or Pescado en Dos Pipianes, pan-seared Halibut served with white rice, pipian rojo, and pipian verde. For dessert, diners can choose Pay de Café de Olla cheesecake with chocolate ancho sauce, or Pastel de Chocolate mousse cake, with raspberry sauce and candied pecans. Alongside any of Adobo Grill’s drinks, which include a variety of margaritas, sipping tequilas and mezcals, and other cocktails. Reservations can be made via Adobo Grill’s website.

Velvet Taco Chicago

Velvet Taco is gearing up to host their Cinco De Mayo celebrations: a special taco feature, Cinco Sweepstakes and exclusive Velvet Taco Swag for guests. 

  • Cinco Sweepstakes – Velvet Taco’s Cinco de Mayo celebrations begin on April 29 with Cinco Sweepstakes, a limited-time chance to win cinco (5) $100 gift cards. Guests can enter to win by becoming a Velvet Room loyalty member. Non-members can also partake in the sweepstakes by downloading the Velvet Taco App and submitting the form. 

  • El Jefe – Anyone stopping by Velvet Taco on Cinco de Mayo can dig into their limited-time Weekly Taco Feature (WTF), El Jefe, featuring grilled steak, tempura lobster, crispy potatoes, sun-dried tomato aioli, and arugula salad, drizilled in chimichurri.
