Buona, The Original Italian Beef, is opening its 18th location in Algonquin, Ill. The family-owned Italian beef
restaurant group will officially open on Monday, November 21 at
10:30 a.m. The new restaurant is located at 501 S. Randall Rd. The grand
opening festivities will continue November 26 and 27 with giveaways and
freebies.
The
first 100 guests at the new location on Monday, November 21 will
receive free beef for a year. Other festivities include a prize wheel
with Buona SWAG and gift cards, complimentary coffee for those waiting
in line, and more.
“We’re
excited to serve the Algonquin community,” says Joe Buonavolanto,
second-generation owner. “It is a thriving area that our family is proud
to be a part of.”
Opening his first restaurant in 1981, the
Buonavolanto family patriarch, Joe Sr., was among a group of Italian
immigrants who made the Italian beef sandwich a staple of Chicago’s
culinary scene. The
restaurant’s menu and the restaurant design have evolved over the years
to include a variety of scratch-made sandwiches, salads with
all-natural dressings and more. The menu also features gluten free
options and a ‘Skip the Gym’ menu of reduced calorie items.
