Explained: This Week's Yokocho Tomodachi: Japanese-Jamaican Fusion Wednesday, January 9th
Yokocho, a new Japanese-fusion alley bar located in Wicker Park, is hosting it’s latest Tomodachi this week, bringing together YOUWERENEVERHERE pop-up duo Bradley A. Murray and Dj Dash.
Tomodachi nights are events where Yokocho has invited individuals from Chicago’s community of talented people doing some awesome things, to curate an evening for their friends. This Wednesday's Tomodachi is an exploration of Japanese and Jamaican cultural combinations through food, drink, and music. The curated event will include rum from STOLEN Spirits, on behalf of sommelier Colin Hofer. Photographer and director Bradley Murray will be providing portrait sessions throughout the evening.
Some of the specials for the exclusive drink menu include Strawberry Walsh, Ginger Swank and Island Highball.
The event will begin at 7 p.m and lasts until 12 a.m. More information can be found by contacting Yokocho owner Susan Thompson.
