World Cup Pizza Party with Dimo's & BottlesUp!

Dimo's Pizza and wine shop BottlesUp! are teaming up to host a World Cup-themed dinner on Thursday, Aug. 17. The evening will feature three different styles of pies — Detroit style, New York style and grilled flatbread — paired with three wines each from three different distributors (Grand Cru Wines, Martine's Wines and Kestral Wine & Spirits). Diners will sample each pizza and all nine wines, and vote for their favorite pairings, tournament style, resulting in the winner.

The Pies

• The Santorini (Detroit-style pizza): Grilled halloumi, grilled peaches, burrata, mint, and pistachios
• El Barrito (NY pizza): Smoked brisket, avocado crema, grilled corn, and salsa macha
• The AB+J (grilled flatbread): Almond butter, brie, strawberry-fig-sherry vinegar jam, and chopped marcona almonds

The dinner will be held at BottlesUp!, 3164 North Broadway, with two seatings at 6:30 pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $50 per person and are available on Tock. Attendees must be 21 or older.
