A closer look: Wok Into 2018: Chinese New Year at Imperial Lamian
Although most people recently rang in 2018, another major New Year’s celebration is on the horizon – Chinese New Year on Friday, February 16! To keep the celebration rolling, Imperial Lamian offers a featured menu filled with traditional dishes from Wednesday, February 14 to Sunday, February 18. Encompassing the full experience of the holiday, festive traditions are also highlighted throughout the meal, transporting diners straight to China.
To fetch in the Year of the Dog, the featured menu includes festive dishes, putting diners into the holiday spirit. The colorful Yee Sang or Prosperity Toss Salad is a symbol of good luck for the New Year, as all guests are encouraged to help toss the salad together to truly attract good fortune. Another traditional bite, Fatty Choy Braised Pork, helps diners feel the New Year celebration. In true Chinese New Year fashion, guests are treated with a traditional gift, the Hong Bao or red envelope, a monetary gift that is given during holidays.
