Windy City Smokeout, the outdoor BBQ and country music festival, will be held the weekend of July 12-14, 2019 at a new location right outside of Chicago’s United Center. Hosted by barbecue joint, Bub City, and ACM award-winning, Joe’s Bar, Windy City Smokeout is the first official outdoor music festival to take place at the arena’s 250,000 square-foot parking lot along Madison Street. In its seventh year, the four-time Academy of Country Music’s Festival of the Year nominee offers some of the best BBQ and craft beers from around the nation plus live performances from country music’s biggest names and up-and-coming talent.

Windy City Smokeout co-founder, Ed Warm, handpicked the music lineup of award-winning artists and rising stars which include GRAMMY-nominated Chris Young, 2018 ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year winner Old Dominion and Platinum-selling artist, Cole Swindell. The full list of country music acts are:

The BBQ lineup features pitmasters who will be smoking and grilling both regional specialties and new-school ‘cue that pushes the boundaries of what’s considered traditional. Pitmaster and festival co-founder, Doug Psaltis, curates the BBQ talent, adding newcomers Hoodoo Brown from Ridgefield, CT and Asheville’s Buxton Hall to join the returning teams. Windy City Smokeout’s expansion to the United Center offers a variety of guest perks, including additional seating and lounge areas, expanded bars and extended festival hours. The new location will also improve the overall guest experience with expedited will call ticket pick-up, United Center supported security, interior bathroom facilities and easy access for ride shares and festival pick-up. Curated add-on events make their return, including Friday’s Biggest Happy Hour of the Summer with a special appearance from Wagyumafia – the creation of Tokyo’s notorious wagyu master, Hisato Hamada – and the BBQ Brunch + DIY Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar on Sunday.

“Since we started in 2013, our guests have always dictated how the festival grows and expands year after year,” says Doug Psaltis. “The move to this Chicago landmark offers more space for guests to enjoy the best in BBQ, craft beer and live country music. This will be our biggest and best outdoor festival yet!”

*General Admission festival passes do not include food or beverage.
**VIP festival passes include access to an elevated area next to the stage, commemorative cashless wristbands, express entrance into the festival, use of on-site concierge service and complimentary charging stations, exclusive VIP restrooms, and re-entry to the festival grounds.

The hours for Windy City Smokeout are 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, July 12; noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 13; and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 14.
