Not all mushrooms are grown the same, that is, in the ground! And not all mushroom producers are marketed the same either, that is, without a prize! 

Located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, Windy City Mushroom prides itself on growing sustainable, local, and urban-grown products for customers in the Chicagoland area. They provide the freshest variety of gourmet mushrooms to local chefs and discerning home-based cooks in the Chicagoland area. 

Windy City Mushroom, which is launching their new line of retail products this fall, is inviting their followers and fans to think outside the box and submit their ideas for slogans for their new packaged, in-store mushroom line. The prize will be a $50 Amazon gift card and a sample box of mushrooms. 

“I’m excited to see what people come up with. The contest is a great way for us to connect with fans of Windy City Mushroom,” said Guy Furman, founder and CEO of Windy City Mushroom.

Join the creative challenge of winning the chance to feature your slogan on its packaging. And while doing so, connect with mushroom fans around the country to create something together while we're all still staying home and hunkering down. This is a way for like-minded people in the mushroom community to virtually meet up and share ideas, even beyond a slogan!  

The mushroom varieties will include Oyster, Chestnut and Lions Mane to start. Other varieties may follow. 

Contest details: beginning August 5, 2020, WCM will begin the slogan promotion by inviting followers to submit on their Instagram page and website. Participants must follow WCM on Instagram, and submissions are to be posted on WCM’s IG page for review. For those without an Instagram account, they can submit on their website. The competition remains active through August 13, 2020. The winner, if one is ultimately selected from all entries, will be announced via Instagram at @windycitymushroom and be featured on their product packaging.
