On March 31, White Oak Tavern & Inn will launch its Chef in Residence series, a quarterly program inviting chefs within the national culinary community to share their talents with the city of Chicago. White Oak Tavern & Inn will open its doors to a series of chefs selected in partnership with Plate Magazine editor Chandra Ram, for a weekend of shared cooking and conversation. White Oak Tavern & Inn will kick off its Chef in Residence series by hosting Chef Andrew Little of Josephine, a contemporary restaurant featuring American farmhouse cuisine located in Nashville, Tennessee.
On Sunday, April 3, Chef Andrew Little will be taking over the kitchen completely and offer a five-course meal featuring some of his favorite Josephine dishes to the Chicago community, including:
Nashville Hot Scrapple with Frisee and Pickle Vinaigrette
No9 Farms Vegetables
Rabbit Dumplings with Asparagus, Morels and Radish
Bear Creek Beef Strip Loin and Vegetable Ash
Pistachio Cake featuring Lemon and Chartreuse
Doors open at 6 pm and the evening will begin with a cash bar and passed appetizer reception allowing guests the opportunity to chat with both Chef Andrew and Chef Tom before being seated at 7pm.
