Where to Eat for National Burger Day, August 27

Gold Coast

• The Bellevue

The Bellevue with two options for burger lovers. On the lunch menu, the Bellevue Burger ($28) stacks two 4 oz. prime patties with bacon jam, zesty pickles, American cheese and house-made special sauce. Guests can also dig into the Filet Sliders ($22), topped with signature Bellevue Butter and served with hand-cut fries. Grab a seat on the patio and make it a Burger Day celebration in the heart of the Gold Coast.

Lakeview

• Felix

Felix, in Lakeview, offers four burger options including the Lamb Burger with house tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, and pepperoncini. Or opt for the Felix Burger – double quarter pound smashed patties, grilled onion, fromage de Provence, black pepper aioli, pickles arugula, and balsamic drizzle. The 1871 Burger consists of double quarter pound smashed patties, habanero jack cheese, pickled jalapeno relish, fresh guacamole, chipotle aioli, and crispy bacon, while the Bacon Double Cheeseburger comes with American cheese, thick-cut cherrywood smoked bacon, dill pickles and Japanese mayo.

• Bodega Sur

Lakeview’s Bodega Sur is known for their authentic Argentine flavors and dishes, but they also serve a Cheeseburger, which can be served on a gluten-free bun upon request. ½ lb. burger topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, golf salsa, and mustard ale cheddar. Bodega Sur also offers a Veggie Burger - a 1/4 lb. Beyond Burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled red onion, chimichurri mayo, avocado, and Swiss cheese on a brioche bun, also with the option to request a gluten-free bun.

River North

• Olio e Più

Celebrate National Burger Day on August 27 with an Italian spin at Olio e Più. Available during lunch only, the $28 Olio Burger features an 8 oz beef patty topped with provolone, crispy prosciutto, pickled onions, tomatoes, romaine and scallion aioli, all piled onto a burger bun. Pair it with a seat on the patio for a late-summer lunch in Chicago.

Whether you’re dining al fresco on the terrace or ordering room service for a leisurely meal in bed, The Gwen is serving up a luxe take on National Burger Day. The Lux Burger ($25) is topped with American cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles and mustard relish on a sesame bun, with shoestring fries on the side.

For National Burger Day on August 27, head to Cindy’s Rooftop for its Smashburger ($28), featuring two 3 oz. beef patties layered with caramelized onion, aged cheddar, dijonnaise and a house pickle, served with fries. Pair it with sweeping views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan for the ultimate summer lunch.

• Dell' Rooster

Keep it classic with Dell’ Rooster’s Dell’ Rooster Burger, a 8oz patty with roasted onion, lettuce, tomato, bacon, black garlic aioli, and fried egg, served on a potato bun. The burger is available during brunch hours - Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - as well as during dinner - Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
