Full breakdown: Where to Celebrate National Taco Day Around Chicago October 4

Eddie V's Prime Seafood

Eddie V’s Prime Seafood offers Blackened Fish Tacos as part of Eddie’s Hours, the restaurant’s happy hour, available from 4 to 6 p.m. seven days a week in its V Lounge. The tacos feature swordfish in house-made tortillas with micro greens and roasted corn pico. During Eddie’s Hours, guests can celebrate by pairing the tacos with one of five cocktails, including the Spicy Margarita, or one of four wines poured by the glass for $8.

Mercadito

The River North restaurant is offering a special plate of three of its tacos for $10.40 tacos all day long, including a GRASSHOPPER taco, served with guacamole on a corn tortilla. Grasshoppers, or “chapulines,” are considered a delicacy in Mexico. Along with chapulines and Mercadito’s signature carne, carnitas de puerco and pastor tacos, additional specials include lamb tacos, topped with salsa verde, white onion and cilantro, and pork belly tacos, dressed in an orange and red onion salsa.

Dos Urban Cantina

As National Taco Day is October 4th, from 5pm - 9pm, Dos Urban Cantina is offering a $12 deal for four tacos with a beer. This will also be in celebration of Dos Urban Cantina’s inclusion in TimeOut Market, set to open in the West Loop later this year.
