Just like the cooler weather, October is upon us! That means it's National Pizza Month and the whole city is celebrating. Check out our working list below for places to check out all month long: 

The Dearborn Tavern

Leaning into the “tavern” in their name, Executive Chef Aaron Cuschieri offers a new assortment of Chicago tavern-style pizzas with toppings including a brunch pizza on weekends. In honor of National Pizza Month, The Dearborn will offer rotating speciality pies each week. Guests will be able to vote for their favorite one on a QR code.

Wood

Nestled in Northalsted, diners can choose specialty flatbreads from Chef Devin Kreller at Wood. Try out the Italian Beef Flatbread featuring spicy tomato sauce, provolone, parmesan, ground beef, and spicy giardiniera. Diners can also order the Mushroom & Onion Flatbread featuring creamy mornay sauce, caramelized onions, glazed mushrooms, baby arugula, and grand cru alpine cheese.

ROOF on theWit

Perched 27 stories above the intersection of State and Lake atop theWit Hotel diners can select craft cocktails and wood-fired pizzas like Spicy Chicken Pizza, featuring black garlic cream sauce, shredded mozzarella, grilled chicken, banana peppers, red onion, sun dried tomatoes, spicy crushed herb oil. Monday through Friday, ROOF offers a special happy hour menu from 4-6pm featuring 20% off pizzas. 

LG’s Bar & Kitchen

Located in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, LG’s is an Irish bar hangout for after work happy hours or weekend game days. This pizza month, handcrafted flatbreads to pair with cocktails and beer buckets. Select from traditional flatbreads including a Caprese Flatbread served with a pesto aioli and a BBQ Chicken Flatbread drizzled with a bourbon BBQ sauce. Looking for something more out of the box? LG’s offers a From the Forest flatbread with grilled artichoke, roasted red pepper, portobello mushrooms, provolone cheese, roasted garlic cream, fresh baby arugula, red onion and topped with a bourbon BBQ.

Robert's Pizza & Dough Co.

To celebrate National Pizza Month, Robert’s Pizza founder Robert Garvey has committed to fundraising for breast cancer awareness and research. During the month of October, $1 from every Lia and Cup & Char Pizza will be donated to Real Men Wear Pink of Greater Chicagoland by the American Cancer Society.

When asked why Robert’s is supporting Real Men Wear Pink, Garvey said, “Breast cancer affects everyone. Since I’m in a position to make a difference within my community, I have an obligation to do so.”

The Lia is a classic cheese featuring mozzarella and fresh tomato sauce and the Cup & Char is a classic pepperoni with Calabrian peppers, fresh mozzarella, and tomato sauce.
