The 21st floor rooftop offers both indoor, LH On 21, and outdoor, LH Rooftop dining options, serving re-imagined American cuisine and cocktails. The venue also provides various options for social events, including outdoor terrace patios and private indoor dining spaces. The LH Rooftop is open daily, 11 a.m. - midnight with kitchen & bar service from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. The menu includes Chef Features, American Tapas, Starters, Salads, Entrees, Desserts as well as a selection of cocktails, spirit-free mocktails, beer, wine and champagne.
In the warmer months, the outdoor patio seats up to 186 guests along with Sweetwater’s modern American fare, seasonal cocktails, and craft beer selection.
Edgewater
Located on the sandy shores of Kathy Osterman Beach, Aura on the Lake is a new beachside dining concept from Lindsey Anderson, owner of Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar and the Fromagerie & Tasting Room. As an extension of the Uvae brand, Aura aims to offer a casual dining experience along the lakefront. Menu options will include appetizers like Coconut Shrimp and with pineapple and sweet & sour dipping sauce, Lobster Nachos with truffle cheese, pico de gallo and scallions, a variety of salads like the Beach Cobb with mixed greens, lobster, pork belly, avocado, tomato, scallions, hard boiled egg and an herb vinaigrette, and a selection of hand-held items including Lobster Cake Sliders with tarragon aioli and arugula and a Luau Burger with tamarind bbq, grilled pineapple, pickled red onions and mixed greens. For dessert, patrons will find options like Churros, Grilled Pineapple Upside Down Cake and more. A kids menu will also be available. Fridays will feature a live band from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays a DJ will hit the decks from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Gold Coast
The Talbott’s onsite restaurant, LAUREL, features a 100-seat patio on tree-lined Delaware Street. Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. LAUREL’s patio is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with brunch served from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., dinner available Sun-Thur from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and Fri & Sat until 9:30 p.m. Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the bar remains open from 7 a.m. until close.
Lakeview
Offers their sidewalk patio along with the Quesa Birria Torta, a Mexican sandwich with Oaxaca cheese, slow-stewed beef, beans, and onions, with a consommé on the side for dipping.
Part wine boutique, part café, and part bistro —complete with a plant-filled patio. Options include the Carpaccio, where slices of prime beef tenderloin meet stone-ground mustard chimichurri, Spanish capers, and an arugula-fennel salad tossed in lemon and garlic.
After walking the streets with your furry friend, rest your feet and paws at the Farm Bar patio, with a garden and cocktail menu. Cocktails include the Bees Knees, Cider Sangria, Chai Espresso Martini. Reservations can be made via OpenTable.
Cody’s Public House offers a dog-friendly beer garden that can accommodate 100 people. The beer garden features an outdoor bar housed in a converted Airstream trailer surrounded by high top tables, TVs, darts and a section for bean bags. Weather permitting, Cody’s also features a year-round fire pit.
Rain or shine, The Graystone Tavern's enclosed beer garden is open year-round. The outdoor beer garden features a retractable roof and the space can seat up to 100 people. Guests can dine and watch the latest sports match alfresco with a focus on soccer, Cubs, golf and football. The patio features string lights overhead, fifteen TVs, and games like Golden Tee.
Lincoln Park
Mon Ami Gabi's patio is open, weather pending, for dinner seven days a week, as well as brunch on Sundays.
R.J. Grunts is open for patio seating.
Summer House in Lincoln Park offers patio dining on the All-Seasons Courtyard and their front patio. The front patio is dog-friendly.
The newest location of Sushi-san has a street-side patio.
Lincoln Square
The Getaway will offer the neighborhood a new sidewalk patio with seating for about 20 guests that will open for the season on May 1. Guests will find The Getaway’s Happy Hour on the patio, available every Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Happy Hour features $10 house cocktails, $8 wine, $6 drafts, $4 domestics, $8 NA cocktails, and $5 NA bottles and cans.
Magnificent Mile
The 30-seat patio offers the setting for spring and summer with cocktails and bites inspired by the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian influences. While lounging on the patio, visitors will find the Pour Decisions Boozy Tea Experience every Sunday from 12-4pm, or stop by during the week for a pick-me-up from 12pm-6pm.
Experience al fresco dining at La Terrace, Sofitel Chicago’s outdoor patio, where French-inspired cuisine meets an open-air setting. Nestled outside Le Bar, this space offers the same crafted cocktails and contemporary French dishes.
Tallboy Taco is open for patio seating. Guests are invited to order at the counter and the food is brought out directly to your table. Patio seating is first come, first served.
Ravenswood
Perched above Farm Bar Ravenswood in the Ravenswood neighborhood, ARRIBA Rooftop will reopen on May 26th, in time for Memorial Day weekend. The rooftop will bring the flavors of Tex-Mex cuisine to the space, for everything from a drink and bites to birthday parties, academic banquets, fundraisers, and anniversaries. ARRIBA can accommodate up to 100 guests, offering a menu featuring Margaritas, Palomas, Mexican Beers and fine wines to chips with queso and guac,tostadas, shrimp cocktail and more.
River North
Nonnina’s terrace is designed with windows that can be opened to let in fresh air and radiant heat flooring all year round. All of the items on Nonnina’s pup menu are served with a side of homemade dog biscuits so they can happy hour too.
Now open this April in River North, Ambar is introducing its 46-seat outdoor patio. Guests can select Balkan dishes and sipping crafted drinks. The Unlimited Tasting Experience takes diners on a culinary journey with bites. The patio is available for guests to select Unlimited Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner.
Open year-round, the rooftop will officially transition to spring mode on April 15th, offering a culinary experience paired with city views. Crafting menus filled with dishes and cocktails that pay homage to the spices and flair of the Middle East, Sifr hosts guests in the dining room, bar, or all-season heated rooftop.
I|O Godfrey Roofscape bar and lounge features a retractable roof, offering an indoor bar and outdoor lounge complete with fire pits and skyline views. Guests will find lunch and dinner daily, Happy Hour from Tuesday to Thursday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., weekend brunch, and various events throughout the year. The rooftop encompasses approximately 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, with 10,000 square feet meeting and event space for receptions for 750.

In Fulton Market, Selva is a rooftop escape perched on the 7th floor of The Emily Hotel. The Grotto features Reyka Vodka, Blackberry, Sage, Lime, Angostura, and Fee Foam (a vegan-friendly, egg-white alternative), served in a vessel that mirrors the texture of the grotto walls themselves.
Skyline - this tequila-based cocktail uses Mijenta Repo Tequila, Vanilla Bean, Creme De Pamplemousse, Creme De Cassis, Grapefruit, and Chicory Pecan Bitters. The golden hue of the drink is inspired by the way the sun sets on the Chicago skyline, connecting the cocktail to the views from the Up Room.
Tropical Retreat: For those seeking a non-alcoholic option complete with Coconut Milk, Mango, Pineapple, Orange, and Lime.
In addition to the new cocktail lineup, guests will still find a selection of spirit-free options, plus curated wine and beer offerings.

Amerikas Restaurant, in Oak Park, blends Latin American flavors with global inspiration, delivering dishes like their Barbacoa - a lamb shank braised with guajillo and ancho peppers, avocado leaves, and served with a rich mushroom risotto topped with pistachios. They offer a patio.
The Table at Crate, crafted by Chef Bill Kim located within Oakbrook Center, is an options for a latte on the go to a lunch. The heated, enclosed outdoor patio extends the dining experience through early spring and into the summer.
Il Mio offers fresh homemade Italian cuisine.
Located in Palatine, Chicago Culinary Kitchen is a Texas-inspired barbecue restaurant. Chicago Culinary Kitchen specializes in slow-smoked meats prepared over kiln-dried cherry wood. The covered patio, open May through October weather permitting, is an extension of the restaurant’s 1980s rock & roll vibe—complete with neon lighting, exposed wood beams, string lights, and brick walls.
