A bevy of local restaurants will offer brunch service on New Year's Day. From bottomless beverages served by "mimosa fairies" to farm-to-table American bistro fare, a complete list of dining and drink options around town are detailed below. 

Jerry's Sandwiches in Andersonville and Lincoln Square will offer a special brunch menu in addition to the regular menu. The three featured cocktails will be: Jerry’s "Heralded" Bloody Mary (house spicy tomato mix with vodka, jalapeño, red onion, cilantro $10 - sub Two James White Whiskey or add a beer taster $2); Bourbon Hot Spiced Cider (exotic house spiced cider with Zack Harris bourbon $10); Cranberry Sauced (house cranberry sauce, spiced syrup, Ransom Old Tom gin, Allspice Dram, lime juice, Fee Brothers cranberry bitters $10). The two featured “brunchwiches” will be: Southern Fried Chicken on a Waffle (house pickle, white cheddar, lettuce, maple syrup aioli $13.50) and Jerry’s Monte Cristo (French toast, root beer ham, arugula, red onion, gruyere, Swiss, cracked black pepper, strawberry jam, maple syrup $13.50). 4739 N. Cantina Laredo in River North will welcome 2017 with a modern Mexican brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chef Hector Rivera’s brunch dishes include Crab Cake Benedict; Chicken Fajita Omelet; Huevos Rancheros; French Toast served with Mexican brandy butter; Chilaquiles; Spinach & Artichoke Omelet; Asada y Huevos; and more. As an added bonus, all brunch entrees include a complimentary mimosa, bloody maria or non-alcoholic beverage. 508 N. Taco Joint in Lincoln Park and River North will offer their Bottomless Brunch package (choice of any brunch entree plus unlimited beverages for $32 per person) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chef Edgar Torres' selections include chorizo n' eggs, carnitas pancakes, breakfast burrito, steak n' eggs, taco platter and chicken chilaquiles. Guests may pair their fare with an array of brunch beverages, such as margaritas, micheladas, bloody marias, sangria, Mexican brews, Colectivo coffee and more. D.S. Tequila Company in Lakeview will hold their "boozy brunch" service from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mimosa fairies will buzz about with their beverage backpacks refilling mugs ($16 with any brunch entree purchase) while Texan-style bloody marys will be featured for $5. The menu includes appetizers (monkey bread; trash can nachos; nine layer dip), egg dishes (hangover killer skillet; green chilaquiles; Betty Sue's chicken and biscuits), salads (cobb; BBQ chicken; taco), burgers (burgundy; barnyard; ragin' rajas), tacos (cuban veggie; tequila shrimp; al pastor) and sweets (root beer float; churros; cookie skillet). 3352 N. Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club in Lakeview will welcome the new year with a champagne brunch. Diva Madam X will welcome guests for a midday meal from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Chef JoAnn Witherell’s menu features chicken and waffles, rice krispie french toast, crab cake benedict, chilaquiles and more. Myron Mixon's Smoke Show Barbecue in Wrigleyvillewill open at 11 a.m. The perfect way to start New Year's Day is with the meal-in-a-glass cocktail! David Mixon’s Bloody Mary features Tito’s vodka, Zing Zang bloody mary mix garnished with smoked bacon, two burnt ends, sausage slice, celery, pickle, cocktail onion, jalapeno pepper and Myron Mixon's Rub A Dub Dub Rib Rub rim ($16). Timothy O'Toole's Pub in Streeterville will welcome guests for a pajama brunch party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Roll out of bed and head right over for build-your-own mimosas ($4) and bloody marys ($6.50), while noshing on Chef Corey Grupe’s comfort food brunch fare (Irish breakfast; pretzel french toast; rise and shine burger; The Popeye).
