Dinner Series West Town

What to Expect

Chef Nicklus Byrns, formerly of Elske, Pineapple & Pearls, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, is going back to his fine-dining roots and launching Friends of Bambi, a new dinner series that will welcome several of the country’s chefs to the Bar Bambi kitchen to craft one-night-only menus. Together, Byrns and “Friends of Bambi” will collaborate to bring something a little different to this West Town bar’s usual fare.

Kicking off the series on Sunday, September 6th, is Chicago chef Shawn Clendening, a fine-dining veteran with stints at Oriole, Saison and Blackbird and the creative force behind CATSU, his Japanese-inspired yakitori concept. Byrns and Clendening will bring their celebrated talents together to create an exclusive, 10-course dinner menu that promises to be “fancy, Bambi style.” And no Bambi dinner would be complete without something to sip on: guests can opt into beverage pairings created to complement the chefs’ menu and give them a taste of creations from the Bambi arsenal.

How it works: Two seatings, 10 courses and $180 per person, with optional beverage pairings available to add. Reservations are now open on Toast for what will be the first in a series of occasional Sunday dinners bringing culinary talent through Bar Bambi’s doors.
