Wahlburgers has announced that its restaurant in St. Charles will open to the general public at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28. The restaurant broke ground in early 2019 and is now ready to open its doors to guests, taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure their wellbeing in accordance with the state of Illinois’ reopening plan. Ready and fully equipped with personal protective equipment, socially distanced seating, pre-shift employee wellness checks, hand sanitizer available throughout the establishment, and with a focus on cleaning all high-touch surfaces often.
“St. Charles holds a very special place in my heart,” said co-owner, Donnie Wahlberg. “Like so many in our industry, we’ve faced a lot of setbacks due to the impact of COVID-19, but we are determined to deliver on my promise to bring a safe, exciting and unique dining experience to the Fox Valley.”
The 5,000 sq ft. casual restaurant and bar will feature outdoor seating for alfresco dining and a “Happy Place” area. Happy Place is an international entertainment experience dedicated to all things happy. This all new experience at Wahlburgers St. Charles represents a collaboration between the Happy Place creative team and Wahlburgers. The corner of the restaurant will include a fun-filled and family-oriented pop-up art exhibit for guests to pose in front of for photos.
"Wahlburgers was born from our shared love of spending time together with family around the table eating simple, delicious food, so opening this restaurant in my brother Donnie’s new hometown is really very special for me,” said Chef Paul Wahlberg.
The casual dining concept founded by brothers Mark, Donnie, and Chef Paul Wahlberg will bring St. Charles guests its lineup of burgers, all-new loaded tater tot appetizers, classic chicken sandwiches, kids meals and more from its chef-inspired kitchen. Wahlburgers’ full-service bar will also offer a selection of cocktails, wines, and beers including a signature Wahlbrewski pale ale.
Wahlburgers St. Charles is located at 825 South Randall Road, St. Charles, IL 60174 and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for lunch and dinner. Takeout orders can be placed via the Wahlburgers App, their website or by calling the restaurant at 331-235-5200. Delivery is available via partners Doordash and Uber Eats.
