At Vol. 39, the bartenders have launched an updated menu featuring cocktails inspired by their favorite locations in Chicago. From the murals in Pilsen to the views of Lake Michigan to summertime in Humboldt Park.

Examples from the new Chicago-inspired list include:

  • Heroes & Goats - a malort-based cocktail that is Wrigleyville in a glass, complete with a blue W dusting

  • Pommel Volta - this cocktail represents The Arms & Armor wing in the Art Institute of Chicago and drinks like a whiskey sour with deep red fruit notes

  • 18th & Ashland -  a margarita style cocktail that references a mural in Pilsen that says “Tu mama no puede dormir porque estás afuera.” Translation: “Your mother can’t sleep because you’re out.”

The updated menu also features a list of classically inspired cocktails with options like the Vol. 39 Old Fashioned, plus some new additions like the Bubblegum Cosmo featuring Hanson of Sonoma Vodka, Bubblegum Cointreau, lime, and cranberry, or the Neptunian 75 featuring Hendrick's Neptunia, blood orange, giffard passionfruit, lemon, and cava. The cocktails can be paired with Vol. 39’s recently launched food menu featuring elevated bites like Tuna Tartare, Shrimp Cocktail, 'Nduja Stuffed Medjool Dates and more.
