Vanille Patisserie Opens In Hyde Park

Vanille Patisserie, specializing in French Macarons, French pastries, desserts, and cakes, opens their fourth location in Hyde Park in Harper Court at the University of Chicago office tower on 53rd Street. The Grand Opening Weekend will be held in the 900-square-foot Hyde Park Vanille Patisserie, located at 5229 S. Harper Court Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.  

“We are delighted to open our fourth location and are excited to bring Vanille pastries and desserts to Hyde Park,” said Sophie Evanoff, President, Vanille Patisserie. “We invite customers to relax in our cozy Harper Court cafe savoring the moment to experience our high-quality, French-inspired menu featuring freshly made artisanal French pastries and cakes,” adds Evanoff.

Grand opening highlights include a complimentary drawing entry to win one 24-piece gift box each month of acclaimed French macarons for one year. Complimentary product samples and $1 coffee with a purchase and other offers will also be available.

Vanille is reputed for its Parisian confections known as macarons. The colorful sandwich shaped desserts boast a crunchy meringue shell encapsulating an intense burst of flavor at its creamy core. To celebrate the 4th opening, Vanille will hold the Golden Macaron Contest held at all four locations (Lincoln Park, Lakeview East and Chicago French Market)  during the Grand Opening Weekend (December 1-3, 2017). Patrons are invited to stop into and participate in finding one of ten Golden Macaron to win a $100 gift certificate. A $10 minimum purchase required; winners at all locations.

December brings special holiday French-inspired desserts including traditional and modern Buche de Noel in a wide variety of traditional and new flavors, petit fours trays, holiday cookie trays, signature macaron trays and gift boxes, and hot chocolate mix with Vanille house made marshmallows perfect for that last minute hostess gift. Special orders for Galette des rois, Kings Cake is also available for pick up December 24 through the end of January. All Vanille Patisserie locations will honor a 10% discount on all Holiday Pre-Orders which will also be taken during the Grand Opening Weekend.

Vanille offers a selection of signature celebration cakes that fuse tradition with modern inspiration and innovative flavor pairings. A limited selection of 6” cakes are available in daily with many other options available for special order. Custom cakes can be designed for any occasion as well as elegant European style wedding creations.
