Italian The Loop

Carlucci Chicago (400 E Randolph Street) has announced their Valentine’s Day offerings.  Chef Dana Heffernan is familiar with the passion Italians have for food, as he was trained in Sorrento, Italy.  He has created a special menu for Valentine’s Day, which will be featured all weekend.

Antipasto - Baked Oysters with prosciutto, lemon, herbed bread crumb, and sundried tomato

Pasta - “Wedding Ring Pasta” with crab, shallot, garlic, and tomato

Secondo - Filet Mignon with balsamic and red wine reduction, pepperonata, and arugula

Dolce - Panna cotta with raspberry, chocolate, and mint

Carlucci offers an Italian focused wine list.  General Manager Rob Reinke is a sommelier and can make pairing suggestions.

The restaurant features imported Italian tile floors, hand painted art pieces, and music curated from both classic and contemporary artists, like Frank Sinatra and Lady Gaga.

The Valentine’s Day special menu is available Friday, February 11- Monday, February 14.  Carlucci Chicago is located directly across from Millennium Park.  They are currently open for dinner-only hours (Sunday-Thursday 5pm-9pm; Friday & Saturday 5pm-10pm; closed Mondays but open for Valentine’s Day).
