Prix Fixe V-Day Wine Bar Oak Park

This Valentine's Day, Novo will offer a special prix fixe menu for the romantic holiday. On Tuesday, February 14, Executive Chef Corey Laub will feature a four course menu ($55 per guest) with optional wine pairings ($30). The menu, detailed below, includes such dishes as beet and celery root soup, almond salad, cornmeal crusted oysters, seared market fish, mushroom risotto, chocolate bundt cake, and more. As a sweet treat, each table will receive complimentary truffles. The restaurant will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Course One

Beet and Celery Root Soup with lavender honey
Tuna Tartare with miso dressing, sweet soy, quail egg, sesame cracker
Almond Salad with roasted almond vinaigrette, almond puree, pickled garlic and red onion, turnip, parsnip chips, shaved parmesan

Course Two
Seared Foie Gras with ginger leek puree, roasted pistachio, red onion bacon jam
Cornmeal Crusted Oysters with crispy pork belly, fennel relish, house focaccia
Grilled Butternut Squash with burrata cheese, hazelnut praline, radish salad, toasted shallot

Course Three
Mushroom Risotto with roasted mushroom, truffled goat cheese, chive puree, parmesan
Seared Hanger Steak with cheddar grit cake, pomegranate beef jus, truffle butter
Seared Market Fish with roasted vegetable hash, arugula pesto, pickled mustard seed

Course Four
Chocolate Bundt Cake with blood orange crème fraiche, Grand Marnier sorbet, orange coulis
Almond Tart with lemon curd, marshmallow meringue, pomegranate, blackberry
