Geja’s Café

From Sunday, February 6 through Saturday, February 19, Geja’s Café will be decorated for the holiday and will feature a selection of rosé sparkling wines and champagnes, fondue cuisine, complemented with entertainment throughout the evening from live flamenco and classical guitarists. The Valentine’s Festival will also play host to the Celebration of Marriage Night, where couples receive an added discount based on the years they have been married.

“Our goal at Geja’s Café is to create the perfect Valentine’s experience for our guests that spans past the actual day,” says Jeff Lawler, Geja’s Proprietor. “We will combine the necessary ingredients of an intimate atmosphere to include fine champagnes, lavish decorations, live music, flower arrangements by Dilly Lily and delicious fondues into the perfect recipe for romance.”

On Monday, February 7, Geja’s Celebration of Marriage will take place. With proof of total years married, couples will receive a celebration savings of 1% off their food bill for every year married. As an example, couples wed 15 years will enjoy a 15% celebration savings.

For those looking to celebrate the weekend of Valentine’s Day Geja’s has setup multiple seatings Saturday, February 12 through Monday, February 14, Geja’s will offer a Valentine’s Dinner Package which includes a glass of Taittinger Prestige Rose Champagne, Geja’s Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue, Geja’s salad with a Dijon vinaigrette, entrée fondue of Beef Tenderloin, Australian Lobster Tail and Gulf Shrimp, Geja’s Belgian flaming chocolate dessert fondue and a Geja’s Valentine’s forever keepsake. All seating times are $130 per person.

TAO Chicago

TAO Chicago presents an a la carte dinner featuring specialty dishes, including: A5 Wagyu Beef Dumplings with truffle aioli, Hon shimeji mushroom, black truffle ($36); Thai Basil Surf & Turf with filet mignon, lobster, shiitake mushroom, asparagus, peppers ($64); Truffled Chirashi and Caviar with tuna, salmon, Hamachi, hijiki salad ($28); Aphrodite Roll with king crab, blue fin tuna, shrimp tempura, caviar ($42); and a red and slightly adapted version of the restaurant’s Giant Fortune Cookie ($18). 

TAO Chicago has also created a signature cocktail for the holiday. Named Love to Love, the specialty drink features botanist gin, rose liqueur, dry vermouth, lemon, and sparkling wine.

The Valentine’s Day specials are available from Friday, February 11 to Monday, February 14.

Andros Taverna

Chef Doug Psaltis’ Andros Taverna in Chicago’s Logan Square offers a la carte Valentine’s Day specials Friday, February 12 through Monday, February 14. Dishes are designed to be shared between two people with special offerings from Chef Doug like his Oysters & Caviar (Shallot-dill ladolemono), Seafood Orzotto (octopus, mussels and prawns), Black Truffle Biftekia (graviera cheese with fried golden potatoes) or the — Whole Roasted Xinomavro Duck cooked crispy over open embers and slow roasted in Greece’s most robust red wine. Andros’ traditional menu will also be available for regular dinner service. 

BLVD Steakhouse

BLVD Steakhouse offers up a three-course dinner menu and special Champagne offerings this February. The Valentine’s Day dinner menu is $80 per person and course options like Chef Johnny’s Onion Soup Fondue with caramelized onion, veal stock, gruyere cheese and crostini, Lobster Bisque with sweet sherry cream and puff pastry or an 8oz Filet Mignon butcher’s cut from Creekstone Farms in Kansas. After dinner, choose between either Strawberry Cheesecake or Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. 

BLVD also offers special bottles of Champagne including French bottles of Henriot Brut Rosé, Paul Bara “Comtesse Marie de France” Brut Bouzy, Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Champagne and more. BLVD will also offer bubbles by the glass for $20. Reservations are available now for BLVD Steakhouse via OpenTable. 

The Dearborn

For couples looking for a spot to dine after ice skating or a theater show, The Dearborn has got them covered. This Valentine’s Day, diners can choose their “3-Course Rock N Roll” Tasting Menu. For the first course, diners can experience their “I don’t like Mondays Caribbean Lobster & “hearts” Salad” with Hearts of palm, bleeding heart radish, romaine hearts, black garlic & blood orange vinaigrette. For the second course, guests can choose the Manic Monday Cheeks & Sweetbreads featuring Braised veal cheeks, popcorn sweetbreads, succotash of green lentils, black forest mushrooms, roasted & crispy artichoke hearts, natural jus. For dessert, diners can choose the Stormy Monday “Burnt” Alaska Chocolate fudge Cake, passionfruit semifreddo, black cocoa meringue, blood orange rum “fire”.

Funkenhausen

Options include Parisian Gnocchi with King Crab, Lemon Butter, Tart Apple and Pickled Fresno Peppers. Finish off the night with a Chocolate Meringue Pie made with Hazelnut Anglaise and Winter Citrus. Couples can also choose from Funkenhausen’s wine menu, tasting reds and whites from all German speaking countries. 

Grapes & Grains

Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12 couples can select a 3-course dinner for two from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Start your meal off with a Champagne toast followed by a glass of house white or red wine while sharing a hand-crafted Charcuterie plate. The couple can the partake in a cut ribeye and end the night in romance with chocolate covered strawberries. Reservations for the 3-course dinner are $50 and available on Tock. Those looking for some love in the air separate after the dinner special can taste the Love Potion made with Old Forester, lemon juice, egg white luxardo cherry syrup and chocolate bitters. 

PB&J

PB&J’s is offering a Bachelor Monday Watch Party where you can watch the new Bachelor Clayton fall in love (hopefully) with a half-priced special of select wine bottles that pair with a Valentine's Day pizza specialty "Will You Accept This Pizza?" - warm, honey ricotta crust, arugula, roasted tomatoes and a balsamic redux.

Pigtail

Pigtail—the first speakeasy-style concept from José Andrés and ThinkFoodGroup—offers a curated tasting experience, with five courses, four cocktails and three wines. The menu takes guests on a tour of Pigtail, featuring a selection of cocktails and wines paired with an array of dishes. The tasting experience is a pre-paid ticket with bookings available now on Tock, available Thursday through Sunday.

The Press Room

This Valentine’s Day choose a pre-fixe menu priced at $75.00 per person or choose dishes from Chef Noah Zamler a la carte. Guests also have the option to add on a wine pairing for an additional $50.00 per person. On the menu, guests can expect items such as a Heart Shaped Beet Ravioli, Seafood Tower, Lamb Merguez, Dry Aged Duck Breast, Hibiscus Panna Cotta, and more. 

Robert Et Fils

Travel to France this Valentine’s Day without leaving Chicago. In addition to their a la carte offerings on Thursday through Saturday, Beverage Director, David Mor, has curated a Valentine’s Day cocktail. The “Ma Chérie” cocktail features apricot, elderflower absinthe, rose paint, and sparkling wine. Guests can book a table on Tock, walk-ins are also welcome.

This Valentine’s Day, grab you and your loved one a Robert Et Fils Pastry Box curated by Chef Cati Molnar and the pastry team. Each box will include a Chai Opera Cake Slice, a Citron Tart, a Sunflower Paris-Brest, and a Chocolate Fondant. Rose Mary

Valentine’s Day 2022 at Rose Mary features specials not found on Chef Joe Flamm's Adriatic menu. The four-course offerings come in at $75 per person and will be offered alongside Rose Mary’s regular a la carte menu. The four-courses for Valentine’s Day dishes like Chef Joe’s Tuna Crudo with crispy capers, shallot-beef fat vinaigrette and veal aioli, or his Wild Striped Bass with braised cannellini beans, charred escarole, bagna cauda duck, plum glaze, cabbage and caraway. Apple Crostata closes out the meal and it comes served with salted caramel gelato. Reservations for Valentine’s with Rose Mary are available via OpenTable.

Raised Bar Chicago

Raised is offering a special menu featuring starters like Balsamic Roasted Beet Soup and Shrimp Brochettes, signature entrees like Ahi Tuna Tataki and Seared Magret Duck Breast, and a dessert of Dark Chocolate Entremet will be available February 11, 12 and 14 at the urban rooftop bar. Guests can also choose a signature craft cocktail prepared especially for the holiday, the Coco Mila, which is made with Strawberry Lemongrass Vodka, Giffard Rhubarb, Clement Coconut, Coconut Milk and Cream of Coconut. Open seating is available for the holiday and a handful of heated winter greenhouses are available for reservation via Tock. 

PROXI

PROXI offers a three-course family-style menu this year for Valentine’s Day for $85 per person. Chef Andrew Zimmerman’s menu includes dishes like Crispy Onion Bhaji Chaat with tamarind, mint and sweet yogurt, Grilled Lamb Satay or his Vegetable and Paneer Kofta with mahkni sauce, cashew and paratha. PROXI offer’s two desserts with the Mazamorra Morado Sorbet served with pineapple jam and coconut, or a Chocolate Roll Cake with chocolate-matcha mousse and passion fruit. 

Sepia

Chef Andrew Zimmerman and Chef Kyle Cottle at Sepia offer four-courses for $115 per person this Valentine’s Day. Attention to detail runs throughout Sepia and diners will discover this through dishes like Foie Gras É Clair with pickled huckleberry, Kanpachi Crudo with winter citrus and baby turnip, Truffled Fried Chicken with dumplings and sauce perigord or the Smokey Dry Aged Squab with black vinegar, chestnut and salsify. Sepia offers Crėme Fraiche Ice Cream with huckleberry and white chocolate for dessert.

Located inside the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, Staytion Market & Bar is serving up a Valentine’s menu on February 11 and 12. For starters, guests can decide between the Truffle & Mushroom Bisque or the Beef Tartare before making the choice of either the Pan Seared Coho Salmon or the Whipped Burrata Ravioli for their main course. To finish, a Tiramisu with orange whip and raspberry puree will be offered. 

Wood

This Valentine’s Day, Chef Devin has prepared a special 5-course tasting menu with selections such as smoked shigoku oyster in a bacon mignonette, hand-made ricotta agnolotti, crab cake “a la George’s Perrier”, slagel farm prime steak finished off with a dark chocolate and strawberry cream puff.

Wood’s menu has options for two such as their limited time Dry Aged Ribeye For Two, a 24 ounce house butchered and aged slagel family farms beef, roasted brussel sprouts and potato pureé with a sauce bordelaise.

At Chef José Andrés's original and most personal restaurant, Jaleo, February marks Truffle Festival from 2/7-2/21 at the River North restaurant. You can experience the special truffle menu items for two weeks surrounding Valentine's Day and avoid crowds on the 14th. Specials include: Arroz de Carrilleras y Trufa: Paella-style rice with Iberico Pork Cheeks, Mushrooms, and Spanish Black Truffles ($95); Pan de Cristal con Lardo Iberico y Trufa: Toasted Slices of Spanish "crystal" Bread with Lardo Iberico and Spanish Black Truffles ($28); Tortilla de Patatas con Trufa: a classic Spanish Omelet with Potatoes, Onions, and Spanish Black Truffles ($32); and Tarta de Queso con Miel y Trufa: Basque Style Cheesecake with local honey and Spanish Black Truffles ($26). 

Bazaar Meat & Bar Mar

At the brand new joint ventures between José Andrés's ThinkFoodGroup and Gibsons Restaurant Group, celebrate Valentine's with a specialty "Bella" cocktail made with pineapple, Aperol, sudachi and cava ($16). Available in Bar Mar and Bazaar, Friday 2/11 through Monday 2/14. Additionally, all guests on Valentine's Day will recipe a sweet takeaway of house made chocolate truffles.

Lardon

Lardon offers a signature Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Cheese Board for two at $85. The board includes five meats (Bresaola, Napoletana, Filetto, Saucisson de Campagne, Truffled Lardo), four cheeses (Cyprus Grove Humboldt Fog,  Hook's Triple Play, Cypress Grove Midnight Moon Gouda, Montelinas Buccia Nero Pecorino) and comes with housemade macaroons and chocolate truffles. Boards are available for pickup on February 11th, 12th and 14th.

Nonnina

Truffles, Roasted Wild Mushrooms and Squid Ink Mafalda Pasta are menu options as part of Nonnina’s Valentine’s Day special menu. One of River North’s Italian restaurants also offers mains like Pan Roasted U-10-Day Boat Scallops with charred escarole, fennel, cannellini beans and smoked tomato, and Nonnina’s Veal Ossobuco with saffron risotto and kale gremolata. 

Petterino's

Chef Ozzy Amelotti at Petterino’s has crafted a menu for Valentine’s Day for Chicago Theatre District diners. Chef Ozzy’s Torta di Granchioclaw starts off the meal with lump crab cake filled with watercress and fig marmalade. Petterino’s also offers new chef-inspired dishes like Chef Ozzy’s Costata Alla Griglia, which is a beef t-bone with dulce gorgonzola crust, roasted fingerling, portobello mushroom and served with balsamic demi glaze. Couples will round out their meals with Petterino’s Don Pedro — double chocolate, candy walnuts and ristretto. 

Gemini

Located in Lincoln Park, the Gemini team is offering a three course pre-fixe menu priced at $85.00 per person. Diners can also order a la carte. On the menu, diners can partake in Kushi Oysters, Wagyu Beef Tataki, Lamb Shank, Alaskan Halibut, and more.  

El Che Steakhouse & Bar

In addition to its meat-forward menu featuring prime cuts of USDA Prime Steak, this West Loop restaurant is serving up three romantic specials this Valentine’s Day including a half dozen Plymouth Champagne Oysters, Lobster Spaghetti ‘Fra Diavolo,’ and Surf & Turf with an 8oz filet mignon and grilled lobster tail. However, if you prefer to spend the night in with your loved one, the Valentine’s Day Kit at El Che Meat & Provisions will be available. The kit features a dinner for two with a pair of raw 8oz filet mignon steaks and a handful of signature sides from the restaurant.

Farmhouse Evanston

Farmhouse Evanston has two signature specials awaiting guests this Valentine’s Day. The Seared Scallops feature an olive tapenade, blood orange, bulger wheat and baby grains and the Mushroom Paprike Crusted Pork Tenderloin features sweet potato, tomato relish, mustard demi and wilted greens.

Good Ambler

This West Loop café and bakery from Chef Kevin McCormick from 16 On Center opened in April of 2020. Chef McCormick started baking at the age of 13 at Tel Aviv, a kosher bakery in Chicago, and has previous experience at Per Se and Frasca. He offers chocolates, entremets, pastries, and cakes. He's also offering the Petit Gateux, a French chocolate cake for two people to share on the special holiday. 

Dusek’s

The seasonal farm-to-table Midwest restaurant from Chef Ben Truesdell is on the main level of the Thalia Hall building in Pilsen. Dusek’s offers the ‘Let Us Feed You’ ($55) chef-driven four-course pre-fixe and reservations will be available in advance through OpenTable. Gourmet Bonbons from Chef Kevin McCormick of Good Ambler will be available during dinner at Dusek’s as well as at the bar during the Cate Le Bon concert at Thalia Hall on Monday, Feb. 14.  

Daisies

This Logan Square restaurant offers a rotating 'Feed Me' Menu served family-style. The five course tasting menu that changes on a daily basis depending on seasonal produce. The menu is $55 per person, with a vegetarian option available. Reservations can be made Wed- Sun from 5- 10 p.m.

The Up Room at The Robey Hotel

The Up Room, the hotel’s 13th floor cocktail lounge opens at 5pm daily and has a new menu with seasonal drinks and guests can book the Libations package which includes a cocktail and an appetizer.

Formento’s

The classic West Loop Italian restaurant and steakhouse offers Italian recipes from owner John Ross’ Nonna Formento including pastas like Strozzapreti with lamb and mushroom ragu, squid ink Orechiette, Black Truffle Ricotta Tortelloni, and wood-fired steaks and fish. The wine list is extensive with World of Fine Wine awards and a wide variety of Italian options from Sommelier Charles Bement.

The Bristol

This Bucktown restaurant from B. Hospitality revamped their menu under Chef Larry Feldmeir (Sixteen, The Albert), and offers a highly seasonal, produce-driven 8-course tasting menu ($125) with wine pairings ($75) from Sommelier Charles Bement. The tasting experience will switch to a winter-inspired menu in early January.

Oaken Bistro + Bar

Oaken Bistro + Bar, located within The Forester Hotel is offering the North Shore a special dinner and dancing package in partnership with the Lake Forest Dance Academy, as well as a chef-crafted, three-course prix fixe meal offering available on Friday, February 11, Saturday, February 12 and Monday, February 14. On Saturday, February 12, couples can spice up their special date night with a romantic dance lesson, led by instructor Denita Inez, beginning at 6 pm in the hotel’s event space. For guests with all levels of dancing experience, the lesson will include a combination of two-step and Rumba for a romantic evening of smooth dancing, followed by a three-course meal at Oaken developed by Executive Chef Kristen Burman. Lovebirds may also take advantage of the hotel’s Valentine’s Day package which includes the three-course meal and additional amenities to sweeten the experience even further. To reserve a spot for the special dinner and dance package on Saturday, February 12, guests may purchase tickets for the experience online here. Regular dining experiences and the three-course special menu are available for the holiday weekend and can be reserved on the restaurant’s website.  

Available to all celebrating throughout the week on Friday, February 11, Saturday, February 12, and Monday, February 14, the special prix fixe menu will be offered for $55 per person, and will include a celebratory glass of bubbly to start the evening off right. For the first course, crispy shitake mushroom wontons will be served with a ginger-lemongrass consomme. For the entrée course, diners may choose a Salmon Wellington, served alongside a shrimp and spinach mousse and a fresh citrus tarragon beurre blanc. For the final course diners may select a flourless chocolate cake served with housemade chocolate truffles, white chocolate and mixed-berry gelee. 

The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare

The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare is bringing back “A Room Full of Roses” Package this Valentine’s Day. Patrons can treat their sweeties to the Valentine’s experience which includes access to their King Studio Suite filled to the brim with over 400 long-stemmed red roses, along with a bottle of sparkling wine or cider upon arrival, a welcome amenity, complimentary breakfast in bed for two courtesy of their contemporary first floor bar and restaurant, Thorn Restaurant & Lounge and a late checkout.

Curated by Chef Joshua Karther, dinner will be served on February 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the dining room overlooking a private lake and the wooded grounds of the Hyatt Lodge. Five Iron Golf

Whether you’re looking for love, ready to drink and play, or celebrate with a special someone (or your weekend foursome), Five Iron Golf, 108 North State St, invites Chicagoans to take part in 5i’s VDAY Vibe Check in advance of Valentine’s Day this year. Offering Valentine’s Day bucket specials and open bar packages along with love trivia, a caricature artist, special giveaways and more, guests are invited to play their hearts out in golf contests and competitions from 7 – 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 12.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, Replay Lincoln Park located at 2833 N. Sheffield, is a fun date night for Harry Potter fans! Evette's

The Evette's After Dark Valentine's Dinner is a prix fixe 5-course meal with optional wine pairing add-on. The dinner takes place on Monday, February 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person, limited-seating available. 

Also available, Evette's After Dark take-home three course meal. The takeaway meal includes a Mezze Board, Butcher's Blend Ragu with Creamy Polenta (Mushroom substitute available), and Lebanese Pastries. The $28 meal is available for pick-up after 4 p.m. on Monday, February 14. 

The Evette's After Dark dinner highlights Lebanese cuisine and representations of traditional Mediterranean dishes. While the courses change for every event — and are kept as a secret until the day of — every dinner will always include a mezze board, halloumi dish, a creative hummus, main course, and a play on the traditional baklava dessert. The wines are sourced from Bottles Up in Lakeview and the pairings primarily feature Mediterranean wines. Bhoomi

This Valentine's Day, Bhoomi Modern Indian Grill (15 W. Washington St., inside Urbanspace) will offer a prix fixe menu, available to-go. The menu will feature two Biryani options. According to co-founder Ajit Kalra, biryani is "arguably the world’s most sought after and extravagant rice-based dish." 

The biryani options are a display of technique and flavor for Bhoomi, and require over a half-dozen distinct processes and several hours of prep and cooking to execute. The three-course menu includes:

First Course 

  • Spiced sweet potato and pomegranate salad 

Second Course 

Main biryani dish will be served in a keepsake, handmade clay earthenware. Choice of: 

  • Traditional Goat Biryani - Tender goat shoulder is braised for hours in a sauce featuring over 20 house-roasted spices. The meat is then layered into organic basmati rice with rose petals, fresh herbs, aromatic whole spices and pure Spanish saffron and finished in the oven in a sealed cast iron pot. The goat biryani is served with an aromatic and cooling burani raita (yoghurt sauce with cumin and garlic) and roasted crispy poppadoms.  
  • Morel Mushroom Biryani - The vegetarian option features wild foraged morel mushrooms and pure Spanish saffron. Bhoomi stuffs the organic morel mushrooms with a creamy organic paneer center, then bathes them in a sauce featuring over 20 house-roasted spices. The morels are then cocooned inside organic basmati rice with rose petals, fresh herbs, aromatic whole spices and pure Spanish saffron and finished in the oven in a sealed cast iron pot. The morel mushroom biryani is served with an aromatic and cooling burani raita (yoghurt sauce with cumin and garlic) and roasted crispy poppadoms.  

Third Course Choice of: 

  • Mango-Coconut Cake 
  • Red Chili Flourless Belgian Chocolate Cake  

The three course menu will cost $105 for the goat option and $125 for the morel mushroom option. Menu pick-up will be available on Saturday, February 12 and Monday, February 14. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance by contacting orders@eatbhoomi.com.

Lure Fishbar 

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Lure Fishbar, the downtown restaurant and bar serving fresh fish selections, a complete raw bar with rotating oyster selection, and sushi, is featuring two prix fixe menus for lovers to order:

  • Valentine’s Day Menu: $85 per person (additional $35 per person for wine pairings), featuring Salmon TartarHeirloom Beets, choice of Pan Seared Dover Sole or Grilled Filet Mignon, with Chocolate Mousse Tart. Lure is also offering enhancements of raw oysters, shrimp cocktail and crab claws ($21pp), as well as sushi and sashimi combinations ($31pp).
  • Classic Tasting Menu: $70 per person (additional $30pp for wine pairings) which includes Lure Deviled Eggs, Choice of Lure Crudo Tasting or Sea Urchin Bucatini PastaPan Seared Diver Scallops or Whole Grilled Daurade, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. 

La Josie & Solazo

La Josie and the newly reopened Solazo are celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with a specialty shared dish for two. Parrillada features grilled skirt steak, chicken, veggies, chorizo, cebollitas and chiles toreados, served with homemade tortillas and chile de arbol salsa ($55 at La Josie, add $10 for shrimp/$39 at Solazo, add $8 for shrimp).

Solazo will feature specialty cocktails including:

  • Con Amor de Mexico, cocktail made with Sol Tarasco (Aged Charanda), Abasolo (Mexican Whiskey), and La Gritona reposado (Tequila Reposado)
  • Eso y Mas cocktail made with tequila reposado, horchata, egg white, Negra Modelo syrup, and an orange

The special offerings will be available Thursday, February 10 through Monday, February 14 for dine-in and carry out. 

Chiya Chai  

Chiya Chai in Logan Square will offer a special Valentine’s Day prix fixe dinner menu available for carryout from Friday, February 11 through Monday, February 14. For $70 per couple, each person has the choice of the: 

  • Bourbon Ginger Masala or Maharaja cocktail
  • Chili Chicken or Chili Tofu appetizer
  • Cauliflower Peas and PotatoesCreamy Masala Chicken or Paneer Curry 
  • Masala Chai or Pink Kashmiri Chai for dessert. 

Additionally, the specialty aphrodisiac pink kashmiri chai will be available at their newly opened cafe in the Loop during the entire month of February.

Hopsmith Chicago 

Hopsmith Chicago is celebrating Galentine’s Day on Thursday, February 10 with a special Ladies Night event including half-priced salads and wraps and half-priced bottles and carafes of wine. Additionally, stop by any Thursday in February for your chance to win a Michael Kors Soft Pink Medium Saffiano Leather Shoulder Bag.

Storyville 

Storyville, is a new River North bar and restaurant inspired by early 20th-century New Orleans’s red-light district. Executive Chef Louie Yu will offer specials from Friday, February 11 to Monday, February 14 including:

  • Oysters Rockefeller, with Capital Oysters, spinach, garlic, panko and grilled lemon (four/$24)
  • Squid Ink Linguine, with mussels, garlic, cajun marinara, garlic French bread and scallions ($36)
  • Molten Chocolate Cake, with ice cream, powered sugar and strawberries ($10).

Avli on The Park 

Typically closed on Mondays, Avli on The Park in Lakeshore East, will open on Monday, February 14th at 5 p.m. for a special Valentine’s Day 3-course dinner ($48 per person) by Executive Chef Nikos Kapernaros featuring:

  • Mixed Green Salad with pumpkin, beets, celery root, pomegranate, fennel, sunflower seeds, cucumber wrap, blond raisins & champagne vinaigrette
  • Filet Mignon on a seafood ragu with black truffle potato puree, grilled asparagus, and sun dried tomatoes bisque.
  • Chocolate Mousse Heart with strawberry gel on a cookie.

The Unusual Suspects: Pop-up Cocktail Experience

“The Unusual Suspects: A Pop-up Cocktail Experience by The Chicago Spirit” from Fat Food Productions for two Valentine’s weekend experiences (February 10th, 11th & 12th) and a new Exploding Rose Tiramisu For Two Package.

The Unusual Suspects channels the mysterious, black-market underbelly of pre-Prohibition 1920s Chicago featuring The Chicago Spirit cocktails, bites, and interactive experiences from Abe Conlon and Adrienne Lo.

The former The Ladies’ Room at Fat Rice has been transformed into the “Friar’s Inn” - the Chicago nightclub, speakeasy, and jazz venue frequented by Al Capone during the 1920s.

The “Friar’s Inn” experience is a four-course cocktail tasting menu paired with savory French pastries complete with an interactive clue game guests can play at their table to infiltrate The Chicago Spirit syndicate. 

The former Bakery at Fat Rice space has been transformed into Frenchie’s Bake Shop - the casual and a la carte pop-up experience.

This French bakery has been taken over by the time-traveling, bootlegging syndicate The Chicago Spirit offering a lively glitch-hop jazz soundtrack, vaudeville-style entertainment, creative premium takes on classic Prohibition-era cocktails, sexy savory bites, and new specials for Valentine’s weekend. 

The main Frenchie’s Bake Shop Valentine’s special is its Exploding Rose Tiramisu For Two Package.

Guests will be given a frozen organic rose, and they get to shatter it over Frenchie’s signature Tiramisu For Two dessert featuring rum soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone crema, salted dark chocolate shivs, and cappuccino granita doused with saffron-cream liqueur. 

Guests who order the Exploding Rose Tiramisu For Two Package will also receive two pours of the Medixin Monk “Expresso” cocktail (a housemade Fernet riff made with coffee and a fortified herbal tonic of roots, barks, flowers, and botanicals) that’s served in vintage tea cups.

The Exploding Rose Tiramisu For Two Package is on special for $25 (regularly priced at $32) and it must be pre-ordered via Tock.

A la carte sippers of Medixin Monk “Expresso” and the Ste. Mélisse “Herbal Tea” (a housemade Chartreuse riff made with tea, lemon balm, lovage, angelica, hyssop, and nutmeg) are also on special for $4 each Valentine’s weekend that are regularly priced at $6 each.

Four Roses Bourbon x Stephanie Izard

This year, Four Roses Bourbon is elevating the Valentine’s Day night-in experience. For the first time ever, the bourbon brand whose founding involves a 130-year-old love story, has partnered with chefs from across the country to curate menus for Valentine's Day to be prepared at home. Among those chefs is Chicago’s own Chef Stephanie Izard, owner of local restaurants Girl & the Goat, Little Goat, Duck Duck Goat, and Cabra.

With more diners anticipated to stay home for the holiday this year, the themed menu created by Chef Izard takes the signature cooking style that diners would find at her restaurants in Chicago, and makes it into easy-to-prepare recipes, for a romantic dinner for two. Chef Izard’s menu starts with
Shrimp-Strawberry Lettuce Wraps, and is followed by Beef Short Ribs with

Valentine’s Day cocktail - the Strawberry Love - created by Natalie Migliarini, mixologist,
author, and founder of Beautiful Booze.
