Avli River North

The River North contemporary Greek restaurant will offer a special to-go option for two in honor of Valentine’s Day from Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14. For $89 per couple, guests will receive Hummus with pita bread, Greek-Style Mussels for two, choice of two entrees (options include Shrimp Souvlaki, Lamb Shoulder and more), a specialty dessert and a bottle of champagne. Orders will be available for pick-up and delivery via Tock. 

Avli Taverna

From Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14, the modern Greek cuisine will offer individual prix fixe meal boxes for pick-up. Individual Valentine’s Day meal options include: 

  • Lavraki Filet ($40): a filet of Mediterranean white fish, basmati rice, small tzatziki with cucumbers, Greek salad and yogurt mousse. 
  • Taverna Steak ($40): ribeye steak with kalamata steak sauce, Greek potatoes, small spicy feta dip with pita chips, Diane salad and chocolate mousse.
  • Papoutsakia ($34): oven-roasted stuffed eggplant, grilled artichokes, basmati rice and sliced fruit and berries with mint.
  • Lamb Shoulder ($38): oven-roasted lamb shoulder, Greek potatoes, Diane salad and chocolate mousse.

Send an Avli Taverna “Cocktail-gram” to your valentine. Offered on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, all cocktails options are delivered in a 12.6-ounce sealed glass flask and include a box of housemade truffles and a kitschy Valentine Day card. Order available via Tock.

Chiya Chai

Chiya Chai will offer a special Valentine’s Day prix fixe dinner menu available for carryout from Friday, February 12 to Sunday, February 14. For $70 per couple, each person has the choice of the Bourbon Ginger Masala or Maharaja cocktail; choice of Chili Chicken or Samosa appetizer; choice of Coconut Spinach, Eggplant and Scallions or Creamy Masala Paneer curry; and choice of aphrodisiac Masala Chai or Pink Kashmiri Chai for dessert.

La Josie

The West Loop restaurant will offer special to-go dinners for two from Friday, February 12 to Sunday, February 14. Option for two include:

  • Langosta ($60): Maine lobster tail, tiger shrimp, Spanish octopus, calamari, butter, lemon, roasted tomatillo and serrano salsa. Served with sides of mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and garlic bread.
  • Tlacoyos ($30): Two heirloom blue corn tlacoyos, refried black beans, epazote, oyster mushrooms, grilled seasonal veggies, crema, sweet potato-roasted jalapeño salsa and queso cotija. Sides include mac y queso and elote mexicano.
  • Parrillada ($55): grilled skirt steak, chicken breast, chorizo, rajas poblanas and grilled veggies. Sides include tomato sauce rice, beans, salsa de arbol and hand-pressed tortillas.

Customers have the option to add on a dessert for two of Besito ($12), galleta, dulce de leche, chocolate, raspberry sauce, strawberries, coconut and guava helado. 

Several cocktails to-go options will be available to mix and match, along with select bottles of wine. A cocktail four pack (10-ounce bottles, eight servings) is $60, and a two pack (10-ounces bottles, four servings) is $30.

The Smith 

The River North American brasserie is offering a Valentine's Day feast for two ready to heat & eat, available for pick up and delivery 2/12 or 2/13. The package includes items from the menu and new specials, such as: Tuna Tartare; Citrus Salad; Lobster Scampi with whole Maine lobster; Braised Short Ribs with red wine jus; Toasted Ricotta Gnocchi with white truffle cream; Broccolini and Roasted Beets; plus Dark Chocolate Mousse and Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Truffles for dessert. Limited indoor dining and the heated, tented patio on Clark St. are available for reservations with a similar offering.

One Off at Home 

The new national delivery service from One Off Hospitality offers an avec meal for two -- available for shipping straight to your door, whether you still live in Chicago or elsewhere. Revive One Off’s recently retired 22 year Randolph Street mainstay, Blackbird, by giving a taste of their truffles, chocolates, and bonbons here, or anyone who missed their opportunity to dine. Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two from avec includes avec's chorizo-stuffed medjool dates, deluxe focaccia, salad, paella with spanish bomba rice, confit chicken, shrimp, marinated artichokes and tangerine aioli and a paella pan to keep. Gemini is offering guests at-home Valentine’s Day dinner for two for takeout. All items come with cooking and reheating instructions. To start, guests will receive Roasted Alaskan Crab and Lobster Bisque, Followed by Beef Wellington served with Charred Cauliflower. As a dessert, guests will receive Millionaire Shortbread. Indoor dining is also available to a limited capacity. 

Old Pueblo Cantina 

This Valentine’s Day, takeout or dine-in is available. Guests can order Heart-Shaped Cheese Crisps that come in Queso, Carne Seca, Spicy Chorizo, or Green Chile flavorings. If guests order a Grande Taco Kit for 2, they will have the option to add a complimentary Heart-Shaped Queso Cheese Crisp or a Strawberry Margarita for two. 

El Che Meat & Provisions 

Chef John Manion offers a beefy Valentine this year: an Asador-style Creekstone Farms beef short rib that is bone-in, braised and grilled, served with Malbec jus, red chimichurri — the chimichurri of love — raised winter greens and parmesan polenta. The package includes a “welcome” cocktail for two, The Mendoza 54, a riff off of a French 75 made with Rose of Malbec, gin, lemon and sugar. To pair with dinner, guests receive two 8oz bottles of Malbec wine. Dessert is an al la carte chose-your-own-adventure, with optional add-ons such as Lucillla's Alfajores, red velvet cinnamon rolls, cookie, and pop-tarts, as well as a chocolate, cherry cheesecake. The pre-cooked takeout package is $90. Ordering is available on Tock and Toast. Pre-order by 2/10 for pick-up on 2/12 or 2/13 from 4-7pm. 


Sepia is offering a 3-course menu for two. Each menu includes: Multigrain Rolls with Herb Butter; a snack of Smoked Beet Tartare with Sheep's Milk Feta and Toast; Salad of Endive, Blood Orange, Fennel, Hazelnuts; Pot Pie of Braised Duck, King Trumpet Mushrooms, Foie Gras alongside Leeks in Vinaigrette, Walnuts, Tarragon; and a Chocolate Fondant Cake with Salted Raspberry and Caramel Sauce for dessert. The $175 package for two is available for pre-order on Tock by February 11, for pickup on February 13 or 14. Also available in-restaurant for limited reservations.


Proxi is offering a multi-course menu for two from Chef Andrew Zimmerman. The starting snack is a Yellowtail Tartare, Ginger, Chili, Sesame; followed by Doenjang Stew with King Trumpet Mushrooms with Tofu and Yu Choy; Korean-Style Marinated Beef Short Ribs as the main; and a dessert of Dark Chocolate and Saffron Pot de Crème with Honey Whipped Cream and Salted Honey Crunch. The $150 package for two is available on Tock for pre-order by February 11, for pickup on February 13 or 14, as well as for in-restaurant dining. Also available in-restaurant for limited reservations.


This Valentine’s Day, is offering a four-course dinner from Nonnina. Available on February 12th & 13th, guests can choose from the following for their first course: Sambuca cured Salmon, Fennell, Watercress, Blood Orange, Citrus Dressing or  Whipped Hand Dipped Ricotta, Speck, Fig-Cherry Mostarda, on a Crostini or Goat Cheese Truffles Three ways with Peperonata. For the second course, guests can choose from Nduja-Ricotta filled Pasta, Manilla Clams, Hubbard Squash, Lemon Brodetto or Bucatini Amatriciana. The following options are available for an entree course: Grilled 10oz. Pork Chop, Crispy Polenta, Rapini, Cippolini Onions, Apples, Saba or Roasted Bass with braised winter greens, Artichoke, San Marzano Tomatoes, Fregola, Pistachio Pesto. Guests can top off their meal with a Brown Butter Brioche Bread Pudding served with Dried Cherries, Vanilla Gelato, Crème Anglaise. Indoor dining is also available to a limited capacity and on the heated patio. 

The Press Room 

This Valentine’s Day, The Press Room is offering a to-go package. The package is priced at $100.00 for two and $85.00 for Wine Club members. Guests will receive a bottle of Louis Nicaise "Reserve" Brut Premier Cru Champagne, Charcuterie & Cheese Board that includes Cornichons, pickled vegetables, honey, 1/2 loaf seeded sourdough. Guests also have their choice of Tagliatelle Pork Sugo, Fettuccine Mushroom Ragu, or a Sourdough Trofie e Fagioli pasta kit. Served with Vanilla Panna Cotta, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and their choice of homemade greeting card.


Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Wood at home for $65.00 per person. Guests can select a pickup time that begin at the top of each hour from 4pm-9pm on the 13th & 14th of February.  Orders can be preordered on our website for takeout, and on Tock for takeout or delivery. Guests can choose from the following for their courses: Winter Citrus Salad or Smoked Beet Tartare; Ora King Salmon en Croute or Jumbo Lump Crab Cake “a la Perrier” or Prime Filet Beef Wellington; Decadent Chocolate Cake or Lemon Tart. FireLake is offering a four course Valentine's Dinner indoors, on the heated patio or available for takeout. The pre-set dinner is $64 per person. Menu highlights feature Diver Sea Scallops with cauliflower and blood orange grenobloise and Winter Salad with radicchio leaves, enoki mushrooms, watermelon radish, organic rose petals. For the Main Course, choose from Cod with manila clams, savoy cabbage with bacon and parsley, yukon gold potatoes or Butter Poached Tenderloin with vegetable fricassee, lobster bread pudding, vanilla chive sauce. Stan's Donuts 

Chicago's, Stan's Donuts, is kicking off Valentine’s Day with rose-colored glasses and offering Pink Hot Chocolate. Created from the same recipe as the white hot chocolate, Stan's is choosing to add a pop of color to the lineup. Stan’s Donuts is also offering Valentine’s Day themed enrobed donuts that come in birthday cake and red velvet covered in chocolate. Also on the lineup, Stan’s Donuts is offering their Valentine’s Day mini donuts. 

Nobu Chicago

The “From Nobu with Love” dinner for two menu is available for takeout thorough Tock and features Edamame, Little Gem Salad, Kampachi Agave, Kauai Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Maui Onion, King Crab Sweet Shisho, Seafood Ceviche, Seaweed & Cucumber Salad, Prime Filet Miso Ponzu, a a Nobu Sushi Mix featuring 6 Pieces Chef Choice Nigiri and Yellowtail Jalepeno Roll. “Love BItes” for dessert with a pastry assortment of chocolates, confections and Petit Fours. Sugar Rush pop-up at Recess

Candyland is coming to Chicago. The patio is transforming once again into their newest pop-up: Sugar Rush. Starting Feb. 4, adults and kids can book tickets via Eventbrite to visit the heated patio and receive a sweet package with rainbow twist lollipop, pixie sticks, caramels, Hersey’s Kisses, Rice Krispies and more. The cabanas on the patio will be decked out in various candy themes for photo opps. 


Join PB&J on January 29 through February 14 as we embrace the frigid temps for some fresh-air fun with an interactive, outdoor ice bar experience. PB&J: Pizza Beer & Jukebox is turning the neighborhood into an icy paradise, complete with a life-size igloo made from 400 lbs of fresh ice.

Chef Carlos Gaytán together with pastry chef, Jesus Escalera, will present a Valentine’s Day dinner for $125 per person on Tzuco’s all-season patio on Sunday, February 14th.

The three-course, prix fixe meal will showcase Tzuco’s French Mexican-cuisine, a welcome cocktail, and a dessert presented by Escalera. The “Chocolate and Roses” dessert, which is inspired by Pablo Neruda’s poem Maybe You’ll Remember, is designed to cap the diners’ experience and will be revealed tableside. On Saturday, February 13, guests will be offered a Valentine’s Day at home with a virtual couples cooking class hosted by Executive Chef Grace Goudie of Scratchboard Kitchen in Arlington Heights. For $110 per couple, participants will receive a cooking kit complete with all ingredients needed to make a decadent five-course dinner. The Surf n' Turf Menu features NY Striploin with caramelized shallot butter, Seared Scallops with blood orange, fennel and pistachio, Caramelized Broccolini with chimichurri, and Black Truffle Risotto. Dessert includes a Black Forest Pavlova (chocolate meringue) with cherry curd and whipped cream.

Couples will be guided through the cooking process with Chef Grace during a live virtual class at 7 p.m. where they will learn skills like how to season, sear and cook the striploin, how to make a caramelized shallot compound butter, how to sear scallops, how to segment blood oranges and make a blood orange sauce, how to blanch and caramelize broccolini, how to make chimichurri, how to make risotto and how to plate an upscale dessert.

Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce

Show a little local love this Valentine’s Day with a date night bundle supporting businesses within the Ravenswood community. With help from local shops and restaurants, the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) has curated a night-in for your Valentine’s Day weekend. 

“The Holiday Gift Boxes we launched before the holidays last year were such a great success that we couldn’t resist putting something together again for Valentine’s Day,” says GRCC Associate Director Gene Wagendorf III. “We know that with Valentine’s Day looking a little different this year, having another creative option that brings together some of our favorite local Ravenwood businesses would be a hit in the community.”

The Valentine’s Date Night Bundle is the most recent of the Chamber’s fundraising efforts since the COVID-19 pandemic began. In 2020, the chamber released All Together Now, a collaborative beer by the members of Malt Row, which sold out. The collaborative brew was meant to be for the 5th Annual Ravenswood on Tap festival which was canceled due to the pandemic. 

“Our events and festivals provide critical revenue for the chamber,” says Wagendorf III. “Being unable to host them for the past year has been difficult, but our members are as supportive of us as we are of them. We hope to continue bringing more creative ideas to the community, so they can continue to support us as well as local businesses.”

Las Locas Comedy presents an evening of performances from a lineup of Chicago comics for a virtual Valentine’s Date Night At-Home Comedy Show. The show will be live on Saturday, February 13th at 8pm and available to stream after. Proceeds from this package support each participating business, as well as the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (GRCC). The GRCC is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on special events to fund their work supporting local small businesses. When festivals like Ravenswood on Tap and Ravenswood ArtWalk were canceled in 2020, the GRCC lost vital revenue.

Chez Moi will be offering a special Gourmet Valentine's Box Dinner for Two To-Go ($150) featuring a Surf & Turf meal. The box features Oven Roasted Carrot Soup with Cumin, Surf & Turf - 12oz. Beef tenderloin (medium-rare) and Whole Split Lobster, Whole Coeur de Bray Cheese, and Raspberry Crème BrûléeAdd a bottle of Varicon et Clerc Brut Rosé for $30. The Gourmet Valentine's Box can be picked up from Chez Moi on February 12-14 from 4pm - 8pm.

The Qupid Box for Two can be picked up at French Quiche on February 12-14 from 7am - 5pm.

The Stay-In Steakhouse will bring the pop-up restaurant experience home to guests with its Goodfellas movie themed Valentine’s dinner that includes a six-course feast for two, movie-themed memorabilia, wine pairings, and more for a stay-in date night experience.
The Stay-In Steakhouse is the virtual kitchen run out of Kitchfix – the 8-year-old West Town company founded by executive chef Josh Katt that delivers fresh same-day meals.

The "Restaurant of Romance" located at 340 W. Armitage, is offering a special Valentine’s Weekend Package for both indoor and outdoor seating, which includes a bottle of Domaine Carneros Sparkling Rose, along with a three-course fondue dinner complete with their signature Swiss Gruyere cheese with assorted dippers, choice of Premier Dinner, and finished off with their Belgian Chocolate Fondue, flamed table-side. Smith & Wollensky Chicago 

Romance is in the air at Smith & Wollensky Chicago this February as the steakhouse celebrates the spirit of love all week long leading up to Valentine’s Day. From February 8 to February 14, guests can make a reservation for date night in their socially distant dining rooms or order their favorite dishes from their own homes. Through the restaurant’s partnership with ChowNow, fans can order a dinner for two for curbside pickup or delivery.

Stephanie Hart, owner of Brown Sugar Bakery, is releasing new Chocolate Flavors for Valentine's Day and beyond. Hart has curated a line of gourmet, hand-crafted chocolates called "LIFE IS SWEET". Now through the end of the month, grab a sweet treat at their Brown Sugar Bakery pop-up shop inside Nordstorm's on Michigan Avenue. The pop up shop will be open every Saturday and Sunday in February from 11am-3pm and is located on the first floor near the mall entrance on Michigan Ave.

Ella Elli

Ella Elli (1349 W Cornelia), will re-open their doors for indoor dining starting this Valentine's Day weekend (Feb 12 - 14), with a special, 4-course Chef's Tasting Menu experience. 

After months of temporarily closing their doors due to COVID indoor dining restrictions, guests can visit Ella Elli's for a prix fixe meal inspired by a selection of their favorite dishes. Guests can start-off with their choice of Bay Scallop Crudo, Baked Marin County Brie or Beef Tartare. Third Course standouts include American Wagyu with brussels, celery root puree and chili-crisp, Cioppino with crab, shrimp, mussels and a saffron broth OR Local Mushroom Ragout with buttermilk polenta and cave-aged pecorino. 

Pricing is $95 per person and pre-paid reservations are a must that can be made via Resy. A selection of cocktails, wine and bubbles curated by sommelier Robert Neilson will also be available for purchase on-site. 

Ella Elli will resume full dine-in service Wednesday - Sunday post Valentine's Day weekend.

Vosges Haut Chocolat – has reopened is Chocolate Temple (store) in Lakeview (2950 N. Oakley Avenue, Chicago).

Following COVID-19 safety regulations and protocols, the Chocolate Temple is re-open for in-store shopping, where patrons can purchase a selection of haut chocolate collections at the boutique.

Additionally, Vosges is offering same day pickup for those who prefer to shop online. Vosges offers those looking to purchase online the option to select store pickup at check-out, and choose their preferred day and pick-up time. Same day orders can be ready within 2hrs of ordering.
