Chef Bill Kim and Cornerstone Restaurant Group are flipping the script this fall at urbanbelly and giving parents something to look forward to. Instead of the more common ‘kids eat free’ special, the Asian fast-casual restaurant in Wicker Park is recognizing and rewarding parents through ‘Parents Eat Free,’ as going “back to school” takes on a new meaning this year.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 9, guests will receive one free entrée (up to a $13 value) with the purchase of two kid’s meals. This promotion will continue all day on Wednesdays through the months of September and October, for both socially-distanced dine-in seating and on the outdoor patio.

Kim goes beyond basic chicken nuggets to offer Asian American-influenced options in smaller portions, such as the Kid’s Chicken Rice, fried katsu chicken with steamed jasmine rice ($6), and Kid’s Noodle Soup, chicken broth and wheat ramen noodles ($4).

Parents will be offered Kim’s signatures such as the Ramen, gluten-free Coconut Curry Pho and Urban Bowls in a variety of combinations. If a free meal isn’t enough motivation, Urbanbelly also offers canned cocktails, wine and beer, as well as a new collaboration ice cream bar made with Dana Cree of Pretty Cool Ice Cream.
