Ani is warming things up with a hot sake dinner. A popular enjoyment during Japanese winters, sake is often heated to warm up its drinker. And, to help in beating the cold in Chicago, Ani’s event will also include a four-course dinner prepared by Ani’s Executive Chef Shin Matsuda. Each course will be paired with a unique sake, including Ani’s own signature brand, Ichi No Torii.

The Hot Sake Dinner Menu Includes:

First Course

Madai cured in kombu with shiso

Tea smoked scallops with yuzu kosho

Zuke akami with mushroom reduction and ao nori

Second Course

Miso marinated Cobia en pappillote with yuzu marmalade, cippolini onions, chestnuts and kale

NISHI NO SEKI, Kayashima Sake Brewing Co.Ltd

Third Course

Duck breast hot pot with daikon, yu choy, shiitake mushrooms, scallions, wakame and pickled persimmons in an aromatic dashi broth

SHICHI HON YARI, Tomita Shuzo

Fourth Course

Chocolate mousse, almond pound cake, Satsuma segments, rice ice cream

COST: $85, all-inclusive of tax + service charge. A credit card is required to hold all reservations. Cancellations must be made no later than three days in advance; otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged.
