On September 12 and 13, Nadu Head Chef Sanchit Sahu and Chef Shan Samantray of New Orleans’ LUFU NOLA will come together at Nadu for a weekend-long celebration of Odia cuisine. Both chefs hail from Odisha and are using the collaboration to share a style of Indian cooking that remains relatively underrepresented in Chicago.
The four-course communal feast will move through traditional breakfast, tiffin and midday dishes, including dahi bara aloo dum, masala mudhi, puri and dalma, kanika, ambula khatta, chena besara and other regional specialties.
The collaboration launches Nadu’s new “Friends of Nadu” series, bringing together chefs and industry friends around shared culinary traditions and communities.
The Odia Feast takes place September 12–13 from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Nadu, 2518 N. Lincoln Ave. Tickets are $65 for the vegetarian menu and $70 for the non-vegetarian menu. Reservation are available through OpenTable.
