Collaboration Dinner Lakeview

Chef Alisha Elenz was recently announced as a James Beard award finalist for 2019 Rising Star Chef. At only 25 years old, Elenz has worked her way up the ranks in the kitchen to lead the award-winning, Michelin-ranked Lakeview restaurant, mfk. This month, she’s teaming up with another young female chef, Sarah Rinkavage (formerly of Marisol and Lula Cafe), who was a 2018 finalist for James Beard Rising Star Chef, for one night of collaborative cooking that pays homage to the restaurant’s namesake, M.F.K. Fisher and highlights the young talent that Chicago has to offer, all for a great cause.

Chef Sarah Rinkavage will join Chef Alisha Elenz for a collaborative four-course, family-style prix fixe menu, Monday, April 29 at mfk. restaurant (432 W Diversey Pkwy). Largely pescatarian, the dinner will highlight fresh seafood, conservas and seasonal vegetables.

The first course will feature two curated bites from each chef, followed by a large spread of seafood and vegetables served with bowls of confits, cured fish and pickles. The main course is a poached cod seafood pot with spring broth and shellfish. To finish, dessert features a rhubarb float with chamomile-vanilla ice cream and sweet red vermouth.

Two seatings are available for the evening with tickets for the dinner at $100 per person (all-inclusive for food, beverage, tax and gratuity) and are available on Eventbrite. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry.
