Tuman’s Tap & Grill will offer Fat Tuesday and Lenten food and beverage specials at its Ukrainian Village location, featuring New Orleans-inspired dishes, seasonal beer offerings, and weekly promotions.
On Fat Tuesday, February 17, the bar will serve housemade Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Gumbo. The special can be paired with Pipeworks Brewing King Cake Ale on draft, available while supplies last. The ale is inspired by the Mardi Gras pastry and includes lemon, cinnamon, and nutmeg flavors with lactose for sweetness.
For Lent, Tuman’s will offer a Fish & Chips entrée beginning Ash Wednesday, February 18, and continuing every Friday through April 3. The dish includes beer-battered cod, hand-cut fries, and house tartar sauce. In addition, drafts of Art History Brewing Fastenbier will be available daily throughout Lent. The seasonal smokebeer draws from monastic brewing traditions associated with Lenten fasting.
The bar also hosts weekly happy hours with reduced prices on select spirits. Tuesday specials include 400 Conejos Joven Mezcal, Real Del Valle Tequila Blanco, and Tapatio Añejo Tequila. Friday and Sunday happy hours feature Rebel 100 KSBW, Judson & Moore Rye Whiskey, Stranahan’s Original single malt whiskey, and WhistlePig The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific Rye. All pours are one ounce.
A late-night menu is available Fridays and Saturdays. Offerings include a Slagel Family Farm Smashburger with American cheese, pickles, onions, and sauce on a brioche bun; a Honey-Rosemary Fried Chicken Sandwich; Amish chicken tenders; soft pretzel twists with beer cheese; and hand-cut fries.
All-day drink specials on Fridays and Saturdays include a Tuman’s Handshake with a Real Del Valle Tequila Blanco shot and a can of 805 Cerveza, and a Chicago Handshake with a shot of Malört and a pint of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
