Prairie Grass Cafe Thanksgiving at Home

Chefs Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris of Prairie Grass Cafe are offering a la carte or Thanksgiving Dinner to-go packages for two. The menu offers flexibility so that you can order what you want for a small group or large.

A La Carte Thanksgiving Menu

Choose from a Whole Roasted Turkey (service 10-14 people, $190), Half Roasted Turkey (serves 5-7 servings, $95), or Whole Turkey Breast (all white meat; 5-7 servings, $95). Two stuffing choices include Apple Sage (4-6 servings, $18) or Homemade Sausage with Giblet (4-6 servings, $24).

Starters include Butternut Squash Soup (4 servings, $20) or Organic Green Salad with Parmesan, Pumpkin Seeds and Pomegranate (Serves 6-8, $45), Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes (Pint, 2-3 servings, $10; Quart, 4-6 servings $26), Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Puree (Pint 2-3 servings, $12; Quart, 4-6 servings $24), Green Beans (Pint 2-3 servings, $10; Quart 4-6 servings $20), Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Chestnuts (Quart, 4-8 servings, $26), and Local Cranberry Sauce (Half Pint 2-4 servings, $9; Ping 4-8 servings $18).

Finish your meal with fresh homemade Pumpkin Pie (6 slices per pie $36), Mom’s Pecan Pie (6 slices per pie $36), or Double Chocolate Cake (10-12 slices per cake, $55).

Add paired wines to your meal including Dusky Goose, Pinot Noir,  Oregon, $75 and Pieropan, Soave, Veneto, Italy, $27.

Thanksgiving Dinner Packages for Two

The Prairie Grass Cafe’s Thanksgiving package for $140 (serves 2).

The menu includes Butternut Squash Soup, Organic Mixed Green Salad with Pumpkin Seeds, Parmesan, Pomegranate and Balsamic Dressing, Oven Roasted Turkey (all white meat available upon request) with Mashed Potatoes and Homemade Gravy, Apple Chestnut Stuffing, Sweet Potato and Butter Nut Squash with Homemade Marshmallow Topping, Green Beans and Cranberry Sauce. Save room for dessert, the package comes with your choice of Mom’s Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie or Double Chocolate Cake.

Order by Thursday, November 19 or Until Prairie Grass Cafe sells out. A La Carte Pick up on Thursday, November 26 between noon and 2 p.m.. Thanksgiving Dinner Packages for Two Pick Up between 2:30 and 4:30 pm.
