Thorn Restaurant & Loungelocated in the Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare (5200 Pearl St.), is partnering with The Prisoner Wine Company for an exclusive Prisoner Wine Dinner on Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m.. The special two-and-a-half-hour evening will be hosted by Daphne Strata, a certified sommelier, and will feature a custom four-course menu crafted and complemented by Thorn’s Executive Chef Nicholas Malloy’s. Tickets are $150 per person and are available now to purchase online.  

“Continuing to partner with such a high-class brand as The Prisoner Wine Company is extremely special in itself,” stated Executive Chef Nicholas Malloy. “The various wine profiles make it exhilarating to create decadent dishes that perfectly pair with the various flavors chosen, and we are delighted to provide such a special evening of wine and dining.” 

The Prisoner Wine Dinner will begin with a light cocktail hour, as guests will be offered an Unshackled Rose, paired with Burrata Toast featuring a multigrain baguette, topped with olive blende tapenade, pistachios, and fresh greens. Patrons will then be taken to their seats, where Daphne will begin the evening guiding patrons through a bright and fruity Unshackled Sauvignon Blanc, paired with a Goat Cheese Salad, featuring frisee topped with a fried goat cheese crouton, pancetta, apples, walnuts, and honey mustard vinaigrette. Guests will then move on to the Saldo Chenin Blanc, complemented by a Surf & Turf Bao Bun with seared scallops, smoked pork belly, avocado, orange miso cream, shiso greens, and sesame seeds. From there, Daphne will talk through the rich and balanced Prisoner Pinot Noir, with 12-Hour Duck Confit, manchego polenta, tahini tossed asparagus, sweet potato chip, and cherry gastrique. To end the evening on a sweet note, Daphne will take patrons through the Prisoner Red Blend that is completed with a Crème Brûlée topped with a red wine glaze and fresh blackberries.
