The X Pot Chicago is officially open for business, with reservations currently required to dine. The new restaurant located within the South Loop’s Roosevelt Collection Shops, 150 W. Roosevelt Rd., features a lounge and bar space, hot pot dining complete with robot servers, full sushi bar, VIP room and a state-of-the-art 5D experience room. The concept recently made its debut at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. While drawing inspiration from Asian heritage and culture, The X Pot uses experiential technology including animated light projections, robot servers, thematic soundscapes and sleek decor.

The X Pot offers an Asian-American fusion dining experience with ingredients, such as purebred A5 Wagyu beef flown in daily from Japan and imported fresh seafood. Crafted by Executive Chef Zhibo Ou aka “Chef K,” The X Pot will utilize ingredients along with Chef K’s traditional experience to deliver their take on the Chinese hot pot experience.

Robot servers wait on guests for the entirety of their meal in the 200-seat main dining room, delivering the restaurant’s cuts for the hot pot experience. Human waitstaff assist diners and explain the menu, but the robots will do the heavy lifting. The intention behind these robot servers is to enhance each customer’s experience by acting as an assistant to the waitstaff. Available exclusively in the 5D Experience Room, ornate, interactive animations are projected right onto each guest’s plate, paired with each dish in the 12-course meal.

“We could not be more thrilled to bring our concept to a city as culinarily adventurous as Chicago,” said David Zhao, Co-Founder of The X Pot. “Our restaurant is a megaphone of our message to bring more cultures together and for people to try new experiences and no longer think of Chinese food as cheap takeout. Dining at The X Pot is truly next-level, and we look forward to bringing this to Chicago audiences.”

The X Pot will be located within the Roosevelt Collection Shops at 1143 S. Delano Court East.
