Guests who enjoy exploring the wines at The Press Room, many of which you won’t find in shops or even other restaurants around town, now have another way to savor those bottles.
The Press Room has launched the Fourth Estate, a wine club led by Sommelier Anton Valkov that uncovers the characteristics of wine guests like (herbaceous? elegant? leather?), then matches them to bottles they’ll love.
Through an initial online questionnaire, The Press Room team builds each member’s wine profile and pricing tier ($20, $30 or $40). Guests pick up their designated wine of the month at their convenience after the first of the month from The Press Room, 1134 W. Washington Blvd., and come together for occasional happy-hour meetups at the restaurant.
Fourth Estate perks also include a 20 percent discount on all wines by the bottle at The Press Room and early access to exclusive wines, wine dinners and events with visiting winemakers.
The wines at The Press Room are hand-selected by Valkov and reflect his relationships in the wine world and his understanding of wines.
