What Stands Out

The Original Rainbow Cone is unwrapping its 2026 Holiday Drop, featuring three limited-time candy cane creations and the debut of Rainbow Cone Ice Cream Pies. Launching November 4 at all Rainbow Cone locations, the lineup brings together nostalgic holiday flavors, a century of ice cream tradition and new ways to celebrate the season.

A New Slice of Rainbow Cone

Arriving just in time for Thanksgiving, the new ice cream pies offer an addition to holiday dessert spreads, a ready-to-serve party contribution or a sweet reason to gather any time of year. The lineup includes signature Rainbow Cone, Chocolate Obsession and customizable flavor options, allowing guests to mix and match their favorites, including limited-time seasonal holiday flavors, to create their pie. Pies are available by the slice for $4.99 or as a whole pie for $26.99, with whole pies available for pre-order or in-store purchase. The pies join Rainbow Cone’s year-round menu, giving guests a new way to share their favorite flavors well beyond the holiday season.

Candy Cane Season, Sliced and Served

For those who wait all year for the nostalgic flavors of the holidays, Rainbow Cone is serving up three festive creations for the season. Available exclusively from November 4 through December 31, the limited-time candy cane lineup puts a creamy spin on one of the season's most iconic flavors:

  • Candy Cane Crunch Super Sundae: A festive sundae featuring mint chocolate chip and chocolate ice creams layered with hot fudge, crushed peppermint and mini cinnamon-sugar donuts, then topped with whipped cream, crushed peanuts and a cherry.
  • Candy Cane Milkshake: A creamy celebration of the classic holiday candy, featuring a blend of vanilla ice cream and peppermint, finished with whipped cream and a mini donut.
  • Candy Cane Sliced Creation: A seasonal spin on Rainbow Cone's signature sliced (not scooped!) ice cream experience, featuring five layers of vanilla and mint chocolate chip ice creams, with crushed peppermint sprinkles around the cone.

Once the holiday season wraps, so do these festive candy cane creations, giving fans just eight weeks to enjoy the limited-edition candy cane creations before they're gone.

“There’s something so special about the holidays and the memories we make around our favorite traditions, especially when a sweet treat is involved,” Lynn Sapp, third-generation owner of The Original Rainbow Cone. “As we continue to celebrate 100 years of Rainbow Cone, we're excited to bring a little something new to the season with festive flavors and our brand-new ice cream pies. We hope these treats give families another reason to come together, celebrate and make new memories at Rainbow Cone that become part of their holiday traditions for years to come.”

Rainbow Cone will donate $1 from every candy cane creation sold on Giving Tuesday, December 1 at all Rainbow Cone locations to BridgeTogether Foundation, its official charitable partner. The nonprofit is dedicated to creating inclusive, accessible opportunities for children with autism and other neurodivergent needs and their families. This one-day giveback offers guests a way to celebrate the debut of Rainbow Cone's festive holiday lineup while supporting a meaningful cause and helping make a difference for families in need.

The 2026 Holiday Drop arrives at all Original Rainbow Cone locations on November 4. The limited-time Candy Cane Crunch Super Sundae, Candy Cane Milkshake and Candy Cane Sliced Creation will be available only through December 31, while the new ice cream pies will remain on the menu year-round. Whole ice cream pies and seasonal creations will also be available for delivery through third-party platforms, including DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub.
