The Duplex (3137 W. Logan Blvd), a restaurant and bar concept that celebrates the city’s best up-and-coming chefs has announced its two newest “tenants”.  The Duplex, which features rotating menus from local micro-concepts, has partnered with Chicago Chef David Rodriguez and sisters Michele and Jennifer Kaminski of 2 Korean Girls to bring burgers and modern Korean cuisine to the Logan Square neighborhood.

The brainchild of Chef David Rodriguez and The Duplex owner LeQoinne Rice, Space Cow is a burger-driven concept that offers gourmet sandwiches and sides. Partially inspired by the Toy Story movie’s Pizza Planet restaurant, Space Cow.

Having grown up working in a variety of burger joints, Chef David has long wanted to create a burger concept of his own.

Highlights from the Space Cow menu include:

  • The Galaxy Burger

Double Beef Patty, Munster Cheese, Grilled Onions, Sauteed Garlic Mushrooms

  • The Meateor Burger

Double Beef Patty, Cheddar Cheese, 14-hour Smoked BBQ Brisket, Housemade Mac n Cheese

  • The Black Hole Burger

Vegetarian Black Bean Patty, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Mixed Greens, Housemade Basil Aioli

  • Portabella Fries

Breaded Portabella Mushrooms, served with housemade Garlic Aioli

Guests can opt to replace the Beef Patty in each burger for a housemade Chicken Patty, Chorizo Patty or vegetarian Black Bean Patty.

Equal parts contemporary flair and old school authenticity, the K-pop inspired concept transports customers to a day in Seoul with their signature bowls, snacks, banchan, desserts, and cocktails. Standout menu items include:

The dish that started it all.
