Irish hospitality is back in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood. On the month of their four-year anniversary, The Dearborn will reopen Friday, June 26, featuring a new menu and expanded takeout and delivery.

“Amy and I are cautiously thrilled for the return to restaurants,” remarks Clodagh Lawless, co-proprietor of The Dearborn with her sister, Amy Lawless. “We know we play an important role in feeding the Loop and providing dependable hospitality. We are excited to watch life downtown begin again.”

For the reopening, Executive Chef Aaron Cuschieri offers Dearborn items for dine-in, takeout and delivery. The updated menu provides guests with a variety of items including Steak Tartare & Bone Marrow, Oxtail Mac n’ Cheese and Rainbow Trout Almondine

Takeout returns via GrubHub, leaning into the “tavern” in their name and focusing on items that travel well when delivered, including a new assortment of Chicago tavern-style pizzas.  Bottled sauces of house-made ranch dressing and more are also available for home cooks looking to jazz up their meals.

Desserts include a Coconut Passionfruit Trifle, Cherry Linzer Tarte and S’mores Layer Cake by Pastry Chef Julianna Westgor. At the bar, Beverage Director Sarah Clark offers a variety of gin drinks using DB Gin, a very special house gin made in collaboration with North Shore Distillery; The Magic Man with strawberry-infused Tito's vodka, yellow chartreuse, Giffard Frais liqueur, Bigallet thym liqueur, lemon and edible glitter; and El Guaba with Codigo blanco tequila, guava-tajin syrup and lemon.

The Dearborn team will have a focus on guest safety, team training and restaurant cleanliness,  to ensure the utmost precautions for both guests and staff.

Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The team has plans to add weekend brunch service later this summer and bring back live music.

“As a family-run restaurant, we deeply value all of our guests and treat them like they are family. We can’t wait for their return and to see their faces, even if they are masked now!” Lawless added.

The Dearborn is located at 145 N. Dearborn St., on the corner of Dearborn and Randolph streets in Chicago’s downtown theatre district.
