Tavern on Rush Hosts a Derby Day Party with a Fashion-Forward Twist

Tavern on Rush is putting a fashion-forward spin on Derby Day this year with its annual Derby Day Soirée on Saturday, May 2. The Gold Coast staple will feature classic Derby cocktails, a live DJ from 3 to 6 p.m., and a crowd dressed for the occasion, along with photo ops and giveaways throughout the afternoon.

New this year is “Runway on Rush: Derby Edition,” a 4 p.m. atrium fashion show showcasing local designers Kivanci, Dr. Lucas, and Lauren Lein and their take on race-day style. The Kentucky Derby airs live at 5:56 p.m. on all TVs, including the atrium’s large LED screen, followed by the annual Best Dressed Contest. Reservations will not be accepted.
