River North's Tanta is celebrating National Empanada Day on Saturday April 8th with three different types of homemade empanadas: Tanta’s Empanada de Pollo (stewed chicken), Empanada de Tamalito (corn), and Empanada de Carne (brisket). Those who want a taste of each can also order up Tanta’s Empanada Tasting Trio (taste of all three homemade empanadas), to which each empanada can be paired with one of Tanta’s Peruvian cocktails, such as their pisco sour.
