Dog lovers can join Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview on Sunday, February 12 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for their second annual Puppy Bowl XIX Viewing Party to benefit ALIVE Rescue, a no-kill shelter in Chicago. The dog-friendly event will have food, raffles, contests, themed cocktails and more. As added fun, Cody’s will host a Super Fan Costume Contest where the best game day attire will be rewarded with Cody’s gift cards ($100 gift card for best dog costume; $150 gift card for best dog and human costume).
Courtesy of Cody’s, there will be a complimentary Hot Dog Bar with all the fixings for both humans and dogs plus free pup cups for dogs. To wash it down, guests can choose from a Puptail Menu of $8 to $10 themed drinks for humans in which 50-percent of sales will be donated directly to ALIVE Rescue. Options include shots like Yellow Snow, Red Rocket and Toilet Water plus a Hair of the Dog Blood Mary, Bucket o’ Balls beer bucket and more.
There will also be a raffle in which 100-percent of the proceeds will benefit ALIVE Rescue with items for dogs and humans like Cody’s-branded dog bandanas, a Tito’s Vodka cooler packed with swag, gifts from The Raw Butcher, Another Chance Training and more.
Following the Puppy Bowl, Codys’s will continue the Super Bowl festivities with a viewing party for the big game that includes a FREE Grill Master tailgate buffet at halftime, interactive football games for prizes and specials like $20 domestic buckets, $5 Proper 12 shots, $5 Dobel tequila shots and free popcorn.
Puppy Bowl XIX and the Super Bowl will be broadcast on eight 65-inch TVs around the bar for a total of 10 throughout the space. Guests are invited to “Bring Your Own Meat” (BYOM) and have a tailgate as Cody’s is equipped with several grills in the beer garden and allows guests to grill up all their game day favorites. Cody’s is dog-friendly inside and out, and the beer garden features TVs, darts and bean bags.

For Chicagoans looking for some sweet treats for their Super Bowl spread, Sweet Mandy B’s in Lincoln Park and Streeterville will offer special desserts available from Friday, February 10 to Sunday, February 12 at both locations. Specialty items will include themed Goal Post Rice Krispies, football decorated cakes, football decorated cupcakes and more.
The Graystone Tavern
The Graystone Tavern in Wrigleyville will host a Super Bowl watch party on Sunday, February 12 offering a $50 per person food and drink package. Available from 5 p.m. until the end of the game, the package will include a nacho and wing bar as well as 20 draft beers, all bottles and cans, all seltzers, house wine, mimosas, bloody marys and premium cocktails. The game will be broadcast with sound on 9 TVs throughout the bar and in their winterized beer garden.
The Rambler Kitchen + Tap
The Rambler Kitchen + Tap in North Center will host a Super Bowl Viewing Party at 5 p.m. broadcasting the big game with sound on 24 big screen TVs throughout the bar as well as in their heated enclosed beer garden. Guests can select a $40 per person food and beverage package available from 5 p.m. until the end of the game which includes import and domestic bottles, all draft beer, premium liquors and house wine. Food selections will include Chicken Tenders, a Nacho Bar, Taco Bar, Mac and Cheese, Fries, Tater Tots and more. Attendees can also participate in interactive football games and squares for prizes. Limited space is available, and guests who buy four or more packages are guaranteed a table.
