Recently opened London steakhouse Hawksmoor Chicago (500 N LaSalle Drive) is bringing their Sunday Roast, a British tradition, across the pond and into their new River North location starting on Sunday, September 29. 

Hawksmoor’s take on Sunday Roast is a thick slice of all-natural, dry-aged roast beef rump, which is served with ‘all the trimmings’ – crispy beef-dripping roast potatoes, puffy Yorkshire puddings, roasted carrots, buttered Brussels sprouts, roasted shallot & garlic and lashings of bone marrow gravy. There’s also the option to add on a Hawksmoor creation, Hawksmoor stuffing, cauliflower cheese, and even create your own with Hawksmoor’s blackboard ’sharing cut’. 

“As British as the Royal Family, Sunday Roast is a warm hug of a weekly institution that gathers people together on a day of rest, forging family bonds and fueling friendships,” says Co-Founder Huw Gott. “We wanted to bring it to our new Chicago home, to bring people together and create new memories over tables groaning with delicious food. Roast beef, cooked over an open fire, with all the trimmings … enough to bring a tear to even the most stoic British eye, and to bind two great nations in the common ground of Beef & Liberty."

Sunday Roast will be available every Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Reservations are available through their website and directly on OpenTable.
