Artango Bar and Steakhouse will offer a special wine selection during dinner service this May, giving guests the opportunity to discover how a bold Sagrantino di Montefalco wine pairs incredibly well with a juicy steak.
Cantina Scacciadiavoli's Montefalco Sagrantino is a full-bodied red that boasts smoky, earthy, spicy notes and an unmistakable tannic structure. Artango will feature the 2011 varietal for $18 (glass) and $100 (bottle) from May 1 to May 20. Chef Saul Roman's suggested steak pairings include: Tapa de Ancho (cap of ribeye, 10 oz, $36); and Ojo de Bife (heart of ribeye, 12 oz, $44). The restaurant's locally raised beef is hand-cut and grilled gaucho-style on an Argentinian parrilla. Steak dishes are served with homemade chimichurri, malbec sauce and hand-cut fried potatoes.
