Latest update: State and Lake Chicago Tavern Throws it Back with New Golden Era Brunch

State and Lake Chicago Tavern has debuted its Golden Era Brunch at theWit Chicago, A Hilton Hotel. Now served every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the new experience celebrates the food, music and pop culture from the 1960s to the early 2000s.

Evolving from the restaurant’s previous Barbecue & Blues offering, the Golden Era Brunch menu is packed with throwback brunch favorites. Highlights include the Biggie Benedict, Fresh Prince Royale, Saved by the Shell and Eggs Just Wanna Have Fun, alongside Honey, I Fried the Chicken, French Toast Flashback, Brunchzilla Bacon Pancakes and Shrimp Bizness. Guests looking for heartier fare can dig into favorites like Backstreet Ribs, The Not So Slim Burger, All Eyez on Wings and Steak It Like It’s Hot, as well as side acts such as You Can’t Touch This Skillet and Return of the Mac n Cheese.

On the beverage side, Bottomless Mimosas, a Spritz & Spin Pitcher, a Mimosa Tower and a lineup of zero-proof sips dubbed Mocktail Mix Tapes, featuring drinks like Say My Name Strawberry Lemonade, Cucumber Cool Jam, Pineapple Express and Strawberry Fields Mule.
