Stagg "Whiskey" Party at The Violet Hour

In partnership with the first-ever Chicago Cocktail Summit, The Violet Hour will host an open to the public "Stagg Party" on May 22nd from 6:00PM until midnight. The first-come, first-served event will offer a one-night only, curated cocktail menu highlighting George T. Stagg Whiskey. The menu will offer a range of options from Staggarac made with George T. Stagg, demerara, absinthe and peychaud's bitters to Staggery composed of Stagg Jr., amaretto, ginger, lemon and egg white. The common thread tying together the compelling drink offerings is the intention to complement the featured spirit of the evening while underscoring the versatility and nuance of the whiskey’s flavor profile.

In addition to the seasonal cocktails offered, the bar will also offer tasting flights of different George T. Stagg Vintages, showcasing four different yearly releases of the whiskey. Charcuterie and cheese from Publican Quality Meats will also be available. All menu offerings will be offered a la carte for the evening.

"Connecting the idea of classic Playboy stag parties and a whiskey that we love made a lot of sense. Hence the event was born. If I just heard 'Stagg Party' I would be excited. Stagg whiskeys are really sought after. They are released once a year and most bars only carry one bottle. We are lucky enough to have bottles from every year since 2008,” said The Violet Hour bartender, Patrick Smith
