St. Patrick's Day

Chicago area establishments will toast to St. Patrick with a host of dining and drink features on March 12 (Parade Day) and March 17 (St. Paddy's Day). From corned beef tacos to mint chip martinis, the complete list of specials are outlined below.

Taco Joint

On Saturday, March 12, Taco Joint's two locations (River North; Lincoln Park) will serve an Irish-inspired margarita and taco feature. Guests may enjoy Guinness Black and Green Margaritas for $8, along with Oaxacan Corned Beef and Cabbage Tacos (ancho-pasilla rubbed corned beef brisket, charred Guinness salsa, mezcal smoked cabbage on flour tortilla) for $3.50 each.

The Happ Inn

Head to The Happ Inn in Northfield on Thursday, March 17 for Chef Freddy Sanchez's lunch special: Reuben sandwich with sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, marble rye and 1000 Island Dressing ($12.95). During dinner service, The Happ will offer a sliced corned beef entree served with braised cabbage, green mashed potatoes and dijon mustard sauce ($21.95). Pair your Irish-inspired fare with pints of Harp, Guinness and Half & Halfs ($6 each; available all day).

Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club

Glam up your St. Paddy's Day celebration with green martinis and "Divalicious" live entertainment at Kit Kat Lounge! On Thursday, March 17, the Lakeview-located supper club will feature half-priced green martinis, including The Kit Kat, a sweet and tart melon martini ($6.25) and the Mint Chip, a creamy chocolate mint dessert martini garnished with a mint cookie ($6.25) as well as $5 mojitos. Diva Jennifer Holliday will wow the crowd with live performances starting at 7:30 p.m.

Timothy O'Toole's Pub

From March 10 to March 17, Timothy O'Toole's Executive Chef Corey Grupe will offer a bevy of Irish-inspired specials, such as potato pancakes $6; reuben egg rolls $10; Irish potato soup $6; St. Paddy melt $12; The Dubliner burger $12; corned beef on rye $11; Guinness beef stew $14; shepherd's pie $14; corned beef and cabbage $14; and more. Weekend brunch dishes will offer an Irish breakfast $13; corned beef hash and eggs $11; and an Irish benedict $12. Featured drinks include pitchers of Green Beer $22; Pints of Green Beer $6; Guinness Pints $7; Guinness IPA Pints $7; Conway’s Irish Ale Pints $7; Harp Pints $7; Granny Mary’s Red Pints $7; 16oz Cans of Miller Lite, Coors Light, High Life, Bud Light, Bud, PBR & Magners $7; Jameson Shots $7; Fireball Shots $7; Powers Whiskey Shots $7; Irish Coffee $8; Irish Car Bombs $8; Irish Arse $8; Big Jamo $8; and Irish Apple Martinis $10.

Cantina Laredo

Cantina Laredo in River North will welcome Parade Day partiers for $5.75 pints of green Mexican beer (Dos Equis Lager), on Saturday, March 12. Get into the St. Paddy's spirit with Irish tunes and Latin beats spun by DJ Matt Rochford in the upstairs lounge from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
