Smoque BBQ founders have announced their latest restaurant venture – Smoque Steak. Coming this fall, Smoque Steak will feature smoked and seared steaks – with seafood and vegetarian options – as well as classic steakhouse sides, desserts, and a full bar menu. This restaurant will also offer a to-go menu.

The idea behind this new kind of steakhouse started when a case of strip loins was sent to Smoque BBQ by mistake. “When life gives you strip loins, you experiment. We cut them into steaks then seasoned, smoked to medium-rare, and seared them. The rich, smokey flavor elevated the steak eating experience. It was tender, juicy, perfectly medium-rare. We knew we had to find a way to serve these steaks to people,” says co-owner Barry Sorkin.

“For 15 years, people have been asking us when we were going to expand or what we were going to do next; this is it.”

Smoque Steak will be located in Avondale at 3310 N. Elston, Chicago, IL.
