WHAT: A little cold weather never stopped Chicago from a night on the town! Lace up your best walking shoes and winter boots for the West Loop Winter Safari: A Progressive Dining Experience. Warm-up with fellow foodies as you walk the West Loop during a progressive dinner along Restaurant Row and beyond. Starting at Saint Lou’s Assembly, diners will create their own culinary adventure, eating their way through each of the participating restaurants, including:
- Saint Lou’s Assembly — Fried Chicken Skins with pimento cheese and hot sauce
- Nellcôte — Spaghetti with tomato, calabrian chili, toasted breadcrumbs and mojama
- RM Champagne Salon — Lobster Deviled Eggs with Maine lobster, organic eggs, and mustard
- Ronero — Arroz con Lisa with market fish, garlic rice, yucca, caper vinaigrette and aliños sauce
- Regards To Edith — Buckwheat Corzetti with wild mushroom ragout, fennel sausage, kale and pine nuts
The adventure begins by picking up a dining “passport” from Saint Lou’s Assembly, which guests will then take from restaurant to restaurant in order to receive the signature dished offered for the evening. $10 from every ticket sold for the progressive dinner will benefit Open Books, a local nonprofit that provides literacy experiences for tens of thousands of readers each year through inspiring programs and the creative capitalization of books. Each restaurant will also present suggested beverage pairings, available at an additional cost. NEW this year, for safari-goers who want to keep the party going after visiting all five restaurants, for an additional $15, head back over to Saint Lou’s for the official Winter Safari After Party with an open bar.
TICKETS: Tickets for the Winter Safari cost $55 and can be purchased HERE. Tickets to the after party cost an additional $15.
